We did not stay at the hotel but had lunch in their restaurant. It is quite small but has a very interesting menu. The food is first class and the prices reasonable. I managed an italian restaurant and the pasta dish i had for lunch was one of the best i have eaten and my sister said her salmon was... More

The Empyre Boutique Hotel is just gorgeous. The food is incredible. We had lunch and breakfast the following day which is amazing ( I doubt you'll be able to get through it !! ) and the decor is nothing short of exquisite. I stayed in the Empyre room which has a shared balcony however we got along famously with our... More

A quick getaway to the Goldfields and we came across the reviews for this boutique hotel. Booked on the day the smallest (and cheapest) room the Maguire suite, asked for a discount and was politely informed this was not negotiable - no harm in asking !! Greeted by Tony on arrival and checked in with cheerful professionalism. Beautiful clean room... More

We recently stayed at the Empyre Hotel for two nights in the Maguire suite. This is the smallest room in the hotel and is at the rear of the property, but for our requirements it was perfect. It was clean, had beautiful linen on the bed and was extremely quiet. We had breakfast cooked for us each morning, there was... More

We stayed here for only one night, in the Maguire suite, which was not huge but perfectly comfortable. Everything about The Empyre was terrific - the room was clean and lovely, the bed was comfortable and dressed in good quality linen, the towels were nice and thick, the shower was roomy and had good pressure, the in-room tea and coffee... We hadn't prebooked, but luckily we were able to choose from three differently priced rooms. We chose the garden room out the back for its easy access to the car park, but the upstairs rooms were also beautiful. Our stay was great, starting with a warm room and comfortable bed. The bathroom was very modern and the antique furniture in... More

Stayed here on business for three nights in March 2013. Never stopped in a ''Boutique'' hotel previously but looked forward to the experience. Anyone wanting a modern hotel with all the facilities will not find this hotel suitable. However, if you want a hotel with a differerence then stop here! Bedrooms are full of antique furniture. The beds are superb... More

I was determined to book the best room in Castelmaine as it was a birthday night. Drop the kids at Grandmas and enjoy the company of my partner . The Empyre is the the most expenssive hotel in Castelmaine. I looked on trip advisor and there were only rave reviews. I thought it was a bit expensive but you get... More

We stayed a night for a kid-free couple break. Beautiful, comfortable rooms, absolute comfort bathroom was gorgeous too. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was included in the price, they were even willing to send a cafe latte up to my room so I could have in bed. I highly recommend.
