A group of girlfriends and myself spent a couple mid week days at the retreat and enjoyed the quiet life for the duration of our stay. The kitchen was well equipped for the feasts we prepared and the fire place and jacuzzi were added luxuries to a wonderfully relaxing get away. I highly recommend a visit, we will be back!

I recently spent a long weekend at Kumbaingiri with my partner who has been coming here for years. I have to say that it was fantastic. The retreat itself is spacious, stylish and very comfortable, and the attention to detail in terms of design, furniture, artworks, etc is great. I loved the garden and waking up to the amazing birdlife.... More

My husband and I, together with my parents, were intending to spend two nights at Kumbaingiri on our way to the Sunshine Coast. We liked it so much we rang the owners and asked if we could stay another night, and after that called again to book for a further night. Luckily they were able to accommodate us. The website... I had dear friends from Germany arriving for a first time in Australia and they wanted to have a uniquely Australian experience. A friend had stayed at Kumbaingiri so after speaking with the owner we booked, we came, we experienced and we fell in love – just check the guestbook! We decided to drive there and took the longer inland... More

What a lovely country house. Set among a large Australian garden, on a hill above the river, Kumbaingiri is a wonderful place to spend a few days or weeks. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms all with lovely appointments and crisp linen and fluffy towels. The living area is huge and comfortable with an extensive library containing current novels... I first stayed at Kumbaingiri around 12 years ago, just after the birth of our daughter and have been fortunate to have stated over the years a number of times. I am always taken by the fact that it matters not what time of year it is, the house, the veranda, the garden and the property itself always offers something... More

We have just returned from 6 nights staying at Kumbaingiri Retreat. The whole house was very impressive with comfortable beds, fluffy towels and a very well stocked kitchen. Loved the honour system in the pantry which had every imaginable ingredient, spice and sauce for you to use in your cooking. Great wine glasses, plenty of crockery/cutlery and classy artworks/artifacts make... More
