The Tankah Inn is a little gem located on Tankah Bay. It delivers all that it promises on its web site and more. While the rooms are basic they are more than adequate for the traveler who wants to enjoy the tranquility of Tankah Bay. We stayed in the Tikal Room with its wonderful view of the bay. One could... more

Tankah Inn is a perfect place on a quiet beach with a very nice cenote (20 pesos) with in walking distance. Robert, the manager, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean, the AC worked well. The included breakfast is great with made to order food, fresh fruit and coffee/juice. All this and a view of... more

Tankah inn is a located in the beautiful Tankah bay, about 10km from Tulum city center. We stayed there for 4 nights in early January - in the Tikal room. The room is just amazing, opens directly to the sea with a huge bay window. The hotel only has 5 rooms, and it makes for a very intimate, calm atmosphere.... more

My wife and I stayed in August for 3 nights in the Tikal Room and loved it. Loved the view, loved the breakfasts and especially loved the stories and conversation with our host, Willie, and his friend Mark during the breakfasts. They have great stories about the area and the Mayan people as well as being very helpful about visiting... more

We stayed for one week, 4/14-22/2007. Loved it. Stayed in the Tikal Room. The staff was great. The view of the beach was great. The included breakfasts were great, too. We were the only ones there. Hardly anyone on the beach, either. Awesome. Really glad we stayed in a real room on quiet Tankah Bay and not some crowded Tulum... more

We stayed at the Tankah Inn for two nights in March and wished we could have stayed for more. It had such a "home like" atmosphere and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Pedro and his wife were the grounds and housekeeping staff and were just the nicest people you could ever meet. The grounds are very well kept,... more

I traveled around the Yucatan for about a month with my girlfriend in August, 2006. Part of our trip took us through Tulum. We rented a beachfront palapa at Cabanas Copal. It was beautiful, but the heat was absolutely unbearable. We took sleeping pills and still could not fall asleep until we went and slept in the car with the... more

We were worried about management as we had booked and paid prior to reading some of the negative comment here. We arrived at the Tankah Inn on Tankah bay. Fortunately we found management quite nice indeed. We did enjoy our stay very much. The Inn is quite nice and the breakfast was great. The beach is nice but you have... more

Tankah Inn is a small hotel located on a beautiful beach 9km north of Tulum. The rooms are large and clean, with excellent beds. No clock or TV. Above the rooms is a large common area/resturant and a balcony overlooking the beach. Excellent beach, with a palapa containing comfortable hammocks. The sand beach turns to iron shore at the waterline,... more

We spent the first week of April at the Tankah Inn. The hotel was wonderful. A beautiful view and a quiet beach. (Although it is a bit rocky for easy swimming.) Our problems did not come from the hotel itself or the location, but rather the owner. We had read many reviews that said how wonderful Willie is. Well, he... more
