Tresco certainly has to be one of the most peaceful and friendly places the UK has to offer. The New Inn is a charming pub with friendly helpful staff, delicious food and a well stocked bar! It's the perfect place to enjoy a cool pint of Cornish cider on a hot summers day, and the food is first class too.... more

Tresco is a beautiful island, especially when the sun shines. Don't expect an action packed holiday here, but the solitutde and serenity of the place is lovely. We booked the New Inn opting for a sea view room. The room was lovely with a big soft bed, nice toiletries and very clean. The sea view for which we paid an... more

I visited with my sister, brother in law and elderly mother. Virtually everything 'Curlycat' review May 2009 said applied to our stay. Every single travel arrangement went to plan and Rachael at the New Inn was excellent. The food here is really good especially the Specials board. The service by the young staff was efficient and swift. My only very... more

I stayed at the New Inn on Tresco for 4 nights with my partner and we had a brilliant time. If you have never been to Tresco, you should know that this is a very small island. It has only one hotel besides the New Inn. We arrived by helicopter - a 20 minute filight - and were picked up... more

I stayed at the New Inn with my family and have to say that the place is excellent! The rooms are a good size, with very comfy beds which, bearing in mind I was running in the annual Tresco Marathon, means they must have been REALLY comfy! The staff are very efficient, happy and friendly, and they made us all... more

The dining room! We were lucky to get a lovely room for our one night stay this week, the receptionist, Rachel, could not have been more helpful. We arrived about 9.20 am, obviously our room was not ready but we asked if we could have breakfast. This caused a bit of a stir but Rachel very charmingly returned and said... more

The New Inn was a really nice place to stay whilst exploring Tresco. Our room was lovely - recently decorated by the looks of things, in a clean and welcoming style. Fluffy dressing gowns provided for both of us - always a good sign! We managed to pick up a very last minute deal - £50 pp pn including dinner... more

Thought we'd be the first to review the New Inn although we visited back in 2003. We stayed for one night only and plan to visit for at least a week in 2006. The New Inn is a relaxing place to stay, the staff are attentive and pleasant, but some of the other guests were very snobby and rude to... more
