Very comfortable and very clean room. We were given a warm welcome by Robert, the Manager. We enjoyed our relaxed breakfasts in the Pavillion with a great selection of cereals, fruit and pastries on the buffet and great full-English, overlooking the sea and Bryher. Dora and Joe were especially friendly towards us and our 6 year-old daughter, and we found... More

A little disappointed with the New Inn, the starter was served within about five minutes of ordering so I suggested they gave us five or ten minutes rest before main, more than half an hour later they brought the main course. When the waiter (who I believe could have been the manager) took our plates away and we pointed out... More

Dear Mrs JDginger I must extend my apologies for your experience on Thursday night. I was fully aware of the long period between your starter and main course, and unfortunately it is my action which caused a wait. As I cleared your starter I had already notified the kitchen that you would be moving on to main course, after your... More

Having visited the New Inn multiple times I was very much looking forward to returning, based on the great previous experiences we have had there. However, since the management has changed, this pub has gone dramatically downhill. We were sharing a table with several other people who, even though they ordered around 15 minutes after us, received their food before... More

Dear Sophie6432 Your comments above are most alarming and have been investigated thoroughly. I was not aware that any member of my team would question the provision of ice cream in action of a complaint, especially for children. Your comments about the team are somewhat alarming as the team on duty Sunday remains mostly unchanged from the team on duty... More

If you want to stay in a place with excellent food and comfortable beds this is for you. Tresco is a beautiful island and the New Inn is a lovely place to stay. The staff are incredibly helpful and the food is exceptional.

Dear esherbelle Thank you for your wonderful review, I am very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. Although you obviously found your visit everything we endeavor to provide may I perhaps suggest a slightly later visit in the future? I believe the week after your departure the inter island ferry boat 'Firethorn' started regular trips to other islands... More

We enjoyed half board over Christmas for the second year running, and are already keen travellers to Scilly and its varied Island life. The magic of Tresco never fails to impress with spectacular scenery and a way of life more suited to 1950's. I always look forward to the well honed organisation to fly and ferry guests to the Island... More

We stayed for 5 nights Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at the New Inn over the New Year 2014/15 and have to say had a great time. The arrangements for transfer including luggage from St Marys airport to our bedroom at the New Inn was excellent with a warm welcome from everyone in the process. Robert at the New Inn is... More

During our resent holiday in the Scillly Isles,my husband and I stayed in the New Inn,on the Island of Tresco. We were there for 5 nights, half board before travelling back to the mainland. The New Inn is a lovely cosy place with separate lounges for guests to use with the bar and Restaurant in the same location. The theme... More

The New Inn is a welcoming place and is very comfortable. It's furnished informally but has a homely feel. Rooms are a decent size (although the wash basin not being in the bathroom was a bit strange). You get real coffee and home-made biscuits as standard. Wi-fi was only available in the commion areas of the building. The ambiance is... More

My husband and I are staying on St Mary's and decided to visit Tresco and its gardens today. We arrived at the New Inn only a few minutes after two and were offered a very truncated menu as they stopped serving lunches at 2. The options were soup or baguettes. We ordered two crab and prawn baguettes which arrived with... More

My wife and I have stayed on Tresco many times and normally have self catering accommodation. On this occasion however we were tempted by the New Inn as our stay was short (4 nights) and was being taken to visit the island food festival. Be warned, getting to the Scillies is a trial! You could fly to the south of... More
