As the Scillonian 111 docked at St Mary's we could see Tregarthens overlooking the harbour. We were greeted by the hotel porter who took our luggage and then did the short 2 or 3 minute walk to Tregarthens. The hotel looked good from the boat and when we arrived our thoughts were confirmed. We stayed at Tregarthen's in April and loved it so much we went back again in August and we were just as delighted with our stay. The location overlooking the harbour not only provides superb views but is also ideal for getting the boats to the off islands or popping into the heart of St Mary's. The food was excellent... more

We picked the hotel for its location and we were slightly disappointed as the room did not have a seaview. Although the service from the staff was great the hotel really needs an update as the rooms are very dated. This is not a cheap place to stay and if you expect the same level of accommodation for the money... more

This was the first time we have stayed at this hotel, but have visited the Islands many times before.
