The field I camped in was nice, at the top of a hill. The toilets and showers were appalling. Floor constantly wet and muddy. When it rained there was a stream of water coming through the sky lights above every toilet and close to the electric lights. The owners were not interested in the complaints. The reply was they clean... More

We have just returned from a 1 week stay at the tower. First impressions were not good as the reception was in ramshakled shed and the lady behind the counter (we found out later was the joint owner) was brusk and not at all welcoming. We were told that the keys were in the door The toilet/wet room was well... More

The Garrison campsite feels very private and compact because it is divided up into a number of small fields by a network of hedges. These hedges also shelter the site from the wind which would otherwise be a problem in a hilltop location. Ted, the owner could not be more helpful, bringing all the camping equipment up from the quay... More

We have just returned from a lovely weeks camping at Garrison Campsite. The pitches are really big and well sheltered by trees from any high winds protecting the tents. The showers and toilets are good, with the showers costing £1.00 for 5 mins but this is more than adequate to fully shower and wash hair. Hairdryer in the ladies is... More

Really enjoyed the 6 days camping here. The pitches are great loads of space so not noisey at all. Only thing i think could be better is if campshop opened longer. But will go back and use again. Staff there very friendly

Great location, plenty of space for pitching, well sheltered from the wind and picnic benches abound. Lovely to sit up in the morning and have the sparrows, blackbirds and thrushes cluster around. Don't leave biscuit crumbs in your tent unless your are keen on midnight visits from hedgehogs who will sometimes leave you a little present in return for your... More

We stayed in a readi-tent for 3 nights and found it to be exactly what we needed. The luggage collection service from the ferry was a brilliant help, as was the supply of cool blocks. The tents were modern and spacious and we had a huge pitch to share with the local bunnies and birds. I'd definitely recommend this as... More

We stayed here in two stints for a total of 4 nights on our tour of Scilly. The campsite is flat and largely protected by tall bushes/trees from the strong winds which sometimes affect the other island's sites. Its a bit of a slog up the hill with your equipment but still reasonably close to Hugh Town. Local Taxis will... More

Very friendly welcome to the Scilly isles from Ted. Campsite is great location for access to the Quay and town. The showers were powerful and actually hot! Well sheltered from the wind amongst thick rows of tree and bushes or even nestled within the moat of the tower

Location is good for a campsite although a little exposed when that wind blows, which it certainly did during 2015 Gig Weekend! Think some of the other fields were a little more protected. Not too far to walk to town etc. I would agree with some other reviewers that the shower/toilet block (particularly the older one) is in desperate need... More
