Hosts were quite helpful on anything we had questions and they had many suggestions for things to do, places to go, and places to eat. room nice and clean and comfortable. you can hear the neighbors but everyone... Room 2 was excellent. Double aspect of harbour and beach. Clean & friendly. Breakfast was good a little more choice would have been even better! Entrance steps need to be considered if you have a disability! Very good location for Harbour and St Mary's Centre. Wifi seemed to be a problem at times and we felt it an inconvenience the... More

Andy and Jacky made us welcome from the start with loads of information. Too much to take in all in one go. They were always on hand to offer help and advice. Service was superb at breakfast with our waitress Beth. We would not hesitate in recommending this guest house.

I stayed at Santa Maria for 4 nights and will definitely stay there again next time I go to the Scilly Isles. Jackie and the staff were very friendly and helpful, and my room was lovely and clean. Santa Maria is a short walk from the quay. It is up a hill, and there are quite a few steps up... More

Stayed for 3 nights at the Santa Maria, good location, close to the shops and beaches, although it is up a hill then a flight of steps, so you would want to give it a miss if you have walking difficulties, we tended to walk down to the town and get a taxi back. Our room was comfortable and clean,... More

We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay at Santa Maria. Made to feel very welcome and given useful information about the islands. (This was our first stay) Room was clean and the view was great. Within easy walking distance of harbour and beaches. Breakfast was promptly served and appetising. If you have dodgy knees then this is not the place... More

I recently stayed at Santa Maria for a week. The owners Jackie and Andy were so helpful, nothing was any trouble. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food was very tasty and more than I could eat!! I would be more than happy to return! The location of this Bed & Breakfast is ideal for... More

Wasn't warned about the very steep steps beforehand but they weren't a problem as there's a hand rail they are thick steps. Breakfast is at a set time of 08.30-09:00 which was a little annoying although it was on my table a few mins after ordering. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and the... More

We recently stayed at the Santa Maria. The B&B was in a good location for shops, pubs and the harbour. There is a steep set of stairs up to the accomodation which might prove challenging for people with limited mobility. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived. Our room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable however... More

I've been every year for the last six years. Going again 2012. Have always been made very welcome. Always spotlessly clean and I strongly DISAGREE with Cindy 186258's comments about breakfast. There are several different kinds of cereal, grapefruit, prunes, yoghurt, assorted fruit juices. Then several variants on the full english with toast and jam/marmalade, tea and coffee. I have...
