The set up for dinner was exceptional. The food came out without delay, the courses were just the right size. The food itself was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and approachable, the venue itself was a delight to behold. The ambience was that of a relaxed hotel, the decor was well selected and the setting... More

Bryher is a fantastic rugged little island combining lovely little sandy beaches, dramatic cliifs and beautiful views of Tresco and Samson. This was our 3rd visit to HellBay and the service is still excellent, we were picked up from the airport and taken down to st marys port. As the tides were very low we had about 90 mins before... Hell Bay hotel is on the west coast of Bryher in the Scilly Isles. We stayed for 3 nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. Our room was a double en-suite (our adult daughters had an adjacent and connecting room). There was a small balcony and spectacular views directly out to the beach and sea. The room was very... We had a lovely lunch here overlooking beautiful turquoise waters. Delicious and generously portioned white crabmeat sandwiches for less than £10- excellent value. We would come back if on Bryher in future. We didn't stay here as guests but it looked a beautiful place to stay.

This was our 4th visit and to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary we decided to opt for room 31,a large suite across the garden with lovely sea views. Unfortunately we missed a day due to flights being cancelled because of fog but it was no trouble for the hotel to sort out our travel the next day. From being picked... More

We visit the Isles of Scilly annually and always make a point of taking lunch at the Hell Bay Hotel. Everything about this place is fabulous, very comfortable with lovely decor without being in any way pretentious, fabulous food and a warm welcome whether you're a resident or a casual visitor arriving sopping wet and needing somewhere to dry out... my son and his partner took me for a few days R and R to this hotel as it had been visited previously by my daughter who just loved it! My son flew down to Newquay to collect me but we were fog bound that day so had to find a hotel for the night, I must say it was... More

This hotel is sheer perfection. Set in idyllic surroundings of peace, beauty and nature. The rooms are very comfortably furnished with a relaxed luxury feel. The food is delicous - expertly prepared and served with tasteful presentation at all times. The staff are a delight - polite, friendly, courteous and helpful. The only tiny downside to the stay was that... More

Award winning hotel and restaurant in an Ideal location. Comfortable lounge bar area where they also serve coffee etc, beautiful view of the lake through the large window. We only called in for a hot drink during a walk along the costal path.

So lucky to have been able to go to the crab shack on their opening night last week. What a fantastic time we had. We were made to feel so welcome by all the staff and the owner Philip. Olivia showed me how to de-shell a crab properly and it was simply delicious ! Such a great and unique atmosphere... More
