We stayed one night in October, before a week in Tresco. The hotel was lovely - friendly service, large comfortable room (with decor that will be familiar to anyone who's stayed in a Tresco cottage) and the food was excellent. The kids loved the games room, and my daughter braved the outdoor pool. Bryher itself is beautiful, and there was... More

Dear Oriel100, Thank you for taking the time you review your night with us in October. It’s great to hear you made the most of the facilities the hotel has to offer for a family. We’re sorry to hear the children dining didn’t suit your family. If your children were dining on the children suppers they are served at 1730... More

this is a real treat - excellent service which is friendly but courteous. The facilities are lovely with a good outdoor swimming pool and nice sitting areas. the food was very good and varied. The rooms are lovely and decorated in a characteristic beach hut style. Our room had limited views of the water but was still lovely. The crab... More

We booked a 4 night break but we wanted to stay a lot longer. We had a first floor (there are only two floors) Studio Suite with a balcony and wonderful sea views out towards Bishop Rock lighthouse. The room was well-equipped and very light and airy with marvelous artwork. The service here is first rate and nothing is too... More

Just perfect. Fabulous location, buildings, rooms, decoration, staff, food, drinks...and even the weather was the kind. Hell Bay manage to keep a relaxed vibe whilst providing everything that you would need. The chefs provide stunning, high quality meals (we took a dinner, B&B package) that really are worthy of a special mention. The rooms are beautifully kitted out, with REN... More

This hotel is pretty well perfect. The rooms are lovely, views fantastic, staff very professional, friendly and attentive, food some of the best we've ever tasted, location unbeatable, very peaceful and a great place to unwind. The weather when we stayed was glorious which was a bonus but I'd happily stay here in bad weather as you can still get... More

This is our 8th visit to the islands, but the first stay on Bryher. He'll Bay is a beautiful hotel in an incredible position. Our room was beautiful - no.32 which is a chalet style room, which was perfect for our dogs, who were able to pretty much walk straight out onto the beach. The room was incredibly stylish and... We have now stayed at the Hell Bay four times, three of them under the present management of the Tresco Estate. The location has charmed us ever since our first stay in 2001 and each visit is more enjoyable than the last. Our usual room is number 14, a first floor junior suite with balcony and memorable view across Droopy... More

I think this is the nicest place I have ever stayed. The ground floor room had its own terrace (too hot and sunny to sit on in October!), less than 100m from a white sand empty beach. Furnishings spot on, New England beach style, good quality, well thought out. Food was great and so were the staff. Even the dog... More

Paradise close to home if you value getting away from it all in quality surroundings. Scilly Isles are a well kept secret and the hotel combines high standards in all departments. Highly professional and friendly staff, high quality dining and breathtaking location.

This is an excellent hotel! We stayed here seven years ago and if anything it has got better. We live on neighbouring St Marys, so in some ways it's a bit odd not being far from home, but a nice break nonetheless and a surprise birthday treat for my wife! The hotel is not on Hell Bay, but I guess... More
