We discovered Villa Sassolini through reading Loney Planet Florence and Tuscany guide book listing an trendy boutique places to stay in Tuscany. It would be much convenience if you arrive by car being in a small hill top village outside Montevarchi, 15 minutes from A 1 highway Rome-Florence .Service is personal ,relaxed and attentive.Rooms are nicely and modern blend of decoration.view... This hotel is one of the best boutique hotels we ever been to. Andrea the hotel manager made our staying amazing. We booked a standard room and because the hotel was not full, we got an upgrade, without even asking. Breakfast is perfect, the restaurant and the chef are magnificent. We truly recommend!

We stayed in the Villa for a night and enjoyed the fantastic view, the spacious room and the dinner, which was fantastic that night. However, the breakfast could be done better, there was no cheese or ham, no jam, just some cereals and some bread.... After Florence we were looking for some quiet space in the countryside and that's what... More

Felt compelled to write first review I've made on trip advisor- this hotel is just fantastic and Andrea is the warmest most attentive host you could wish for. A great honeymoon stop. Can't recommend enough!

This is definitely a hotel worth staying in. Me and my husband were spending our honeymoon in Italy (oct.2013) and we planned to stay in several Boutique Hotels in Tuscany, Florence and Rome. The hotel Villa Sassolini is cozy and has a very good taste on decoration. The food is incredible. We had dinner there 2 nights and it was... More

The style of villa sassolini is very much that of a grandiose old villa which has been done up beautifully. You feel like someone has leant you their home for the week, very much hand off but always ready to lend a hand type staffing, few rooms means you are never fighting for a sunbed or the good table. Our... More

We enjoyed our three night trip here as we managed to get away from the tourists at this remote spot. A small friendly boutique hotel, the room was lovely with a great view across the hills. From the pictures I had thought the hotel would be in the countryside but it is in a small village. Nice pool and gardens... More

This is our second trip back to this beautiful hotel and i cant wait for our next. Andrea, the hotel owner, remembered us from our first stay a year ago, and is a truly delightful host, helped by George who is also lovely. We were perfectly looked after in every way. It is the little touches that are important in... More

Set in beautiful hills with a surrounding forest, Andrea, the General Manager of Villa Sassolini welcomed my wife and I very warmly from the get go. We loved walking from the hotel through the forest of hazelnut trees and olive groves to Starda, and spotted some deer on the way. We would have loved to have used the pool too,... More

My family spent 4 wonderful nights at the Villa Sassolini early this month. We would definitely return on our next visit to Tuscany. We would admit that it is close to nowhere. If your plans include visiting a number of the famous town/cities then you will spend a lot of time in a car. 15 Minutes from the nearest town... More
