We chose VV because we wanted to be in an authentic part of Tuscany and have a base of operations to visit the area. It was perfect, situated within an olive orchard in the hills. Beautiful Chianti towns are a short (twisty) drive away as are several wineries. (Grieve, Rada, etc) even Florence is not far up the Autostrada. We... More

This was our 2nd trip to Ventena Vecchia and it did not disappoint. We stayed in Oleandro this time, which is quiet, being at the far end of the house, and quite secluded. The appartment was everything we needed and Olaf and team were helpful as ever, without imposing. We made use of the lovely pool, although the weather was... More

Ventena Vecchia is a wonderful place to stay with amazing views of the Tuscan countryside! Fully equipped with everything you need to have a fantastic stay. It is a great base for exploring Tuscany. We stayed in the papadero room which was spacious and comfortable. The only slight negative was that our patio faced the parking and was not as... More

We stayed in Ventena Vecchia for a whole week in July. The place is amazing with great view, you can see the valley and green surroundings from that point. The hosts Olaf, Rolf & Beate were amazing and very helpful with anything you can think of - They provided us directions and map to the main attractions such as Siena... More

I loved it here, nice and peaceful. We had a the ' Limonaia' appartment which is lovely and spacious. The appartment is well equipped/stocked. The pool has a nice sunbeds and you can just lay there quietly. Each appartment has a terras, some more private than others. I loved sitting outside and eating dinner. The only downside is that the... More

We stayed at Ventena Vecchia in October, 2012 and it was WONDERFUL!! We stayed for a week and toured Tuscany every day. The estate is very well situated in the countryside but also near a big town with all the amenities. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and had a fantastic view. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.... More

We were on the run from the time we landed in Europe, but had a week of "recharging" which my "Son In Law" booked here. Well it was a dream. Location, weather, the twice a week meals prepared by the owners, the pool overlooking the Olive Plantation and the Valley, the education given to us by Olif, Rolf and Beate... More

We have traveled Europe in the past and have moved locations every few days. It can get tiresome living out of a suitcase, so this time we decided to find a Villa where we could unpack our things and stay for the entire trip. The Villa was central to the areas we wanted to see, and and we did day... More

We've just returned from a wonderful week at Ventena Vecchia . The view's of the tuscan mountains are simply stunning .The apartments are all styled individually with love and attention and the kitchenettes are very well equipped (we stayed in Papavero). The only thing we could have done with really was a fan at night to help us sleep as... More

The apartment is great, it keeps the authenticity of Tuscany. We were there with our daughter of 9. We enjoyed very much also the pool and the great view. The dinner "in family" organised by the owner, with the other guests, was fantastic, including the desert that came from heaven. Even if we always choose to spend our vacations in... More
