Hotel Bussola is situated in Anacapri just down the road from the Sta. Sophia church. The Damecuta palace overlooking the ocean is a half-hour's walk, the Villa San Michele is just up the road at the Piazzeta, which also hosts Capri's victory statue. We stayed here on recommendation of the wedding couple when we travelled over for their wedding in Anacapri. Hotel Bussola as with many European hotels (Americans be warned!) : don't expect air con, big breakfasts or be able to pay by Amex. Lets keep this brief... When a hotel states that every room has air-conditioning and you are quoted a room rate you don't expect to arrive and have to pay an extra 10 euros a night for A/C. This was our third holiday to Anacapri staying at Bussola di Hermes, the hotel has been dramatically rennovated and is no longer like a youth hostel. We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the sea, ensuite bathroom and our room was very clean and cool.
