We visited this beautiful abbey for a friend wedding and had the chance to stay here for two nights. We were both blown away by the sheer beauty of the place which has been lovingly retired by the owners. We stayed on the first floor in the Lavender suite which afforded us fantastic views across the countryside towards the Pyrenees.... More

If you are thinking of getting married here, do not hesitate. It's fairytale like setting is a never ending photographers dream, with beautiful gardens, outstanding interior, with original 15th century features if I remember correctly. The food was fantastic, as was the hospitality. The surrounding countryside is another thing to marvel at, I would go back in a heartbeat if... More

We stayed here at the end of June and had a wonderful four days. Peter and Katie are marvellous hosts and Tom cooks sumptuous food for your evening meal. They have made this 10th Century Abbey a very special tranquil place to stay. We stayed in Coquelicots which is a beautifully decorated traditional room with a very large and comfortable... More

Just back from a few days spent in this beautiful hotel, Peter and Katie went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that the stay as well as the wedding went off without a hitch, food was superb, it was my first time there but the rest of the group had been there a few years ago, easy... We left this morning after 5 days - a friend's wedding. This is a stunning location run by a fabulous couple with outstanding staff. All the rooms are wonderful - we had the Lavender Room with a big window, striped wall covering and a comfy bed. The whole place is decked out in french country house style - lovely terrace... More

Upon arriving at the chateau we were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful gardens but the best was yet to come. The chateau was just amazing, the owners Pete and Kate have managed to combine the historical elements with superbly fitted guest rooms. We were there for a wedding there is no better venue. Magical is a fitting word for this wonderful... More

For this Canadian, this was a little piece of paradis sur terre. I loved (!) my 4-night stay here. The Abbey provides the (8th or 10thc) bones, of course but Peter and Katie bring to it its personality - lovely, graceful, charming - both in the manner in which they host and in the way they have respected the Abbey... My daughter specifically chose the venue for her 21st celebrations based on previous visits to this unique place. The beautiful & inviduallly decorated rooms, Tom's superbly crafted fine-dining menu, stunning gardens, peaceful location, the service and friendliness of Katie & Peter all add up to a perfect experience (again!). We have already booked another visit for July 2014!

Many people asked us over our wedding weekend how we managed to find such a fantastic venue and we kept having to give the same answer; we could'nt remember! We found the website but are not sure why or how. But it did'nt matter by then as we felt so lucky to have discovered this remarkable gem of a venue.... More
