As our friends in-the-know advised us, we just had to stay at this hotel if we passed through this part of Korsika ! And reserve well in advance to get a sea-view room. The owner probably puts in 18 hour workdays and her energy level is only matched by the dedication and professionalism of her staff. By being unique and... More

The guide book said the views were stunning but a twisty 20 minute journey on from Porto. Was it really worth it? Put simply, absolutely. The views from the terrace were truly amazing and stunning. The grand old worldliness of the place added to the atmosphere. We had drinks on the terrace but I have to say that it didn't... More

This charming hotel seems to invite you to step back into another era, the setting could be perfect for a novel or film from another time. If you stayed here, it would be for the experience of staying in a hotel that has had its most glorious days more than 50 years ago. With its faded charm, the hotel however... More

Our stay here resembled a time warp - this was a grand hotel in a previous era, although not a cent has been spent on it since it was built. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are good, and the views from balconies are stunning. The floors creak loudly though, meaning you hear every movement in the room... More

We were looking forward to this part of our holiday in Corsica, but it proved a real anti-climax. Be warned - the bedroom walls are paper thin: we were on the third floor (no lift, so 'enjoy' the walk up), and could hear people in the next room and experience their every movement via loud floor creaks; wallpaper peeling from... What a fabulous Grande-Dame of a hotel. Rooms need some serious attention, they are huge but dated, not quite in a good way. The bathroom was decent. Breakfast and drinks terrace offers one of the best views in the world. Simple as that. Service was charming, although they had made a mistake with our bill, which was rectified. You must... More

This is a Grande Hotel, set high above the Mediterranean, in the very small village of Piana. The " proprietor " is delightful, and very efficient! The views are unbelievable, from the balcony, and ideally, you need a room with a sea view. Unfortunately the WIFI access, is NOT accessible, and there are NO good eating restorante/tabac's in Piana. The... More

Just a few minutes from Piana, this hotel has the best location ever! After the modern palaces of Ajaccio and Porto Vecchio, this hotel may seem too classical but nothing beats the stunning view on the Golfe de Porto and les Calanques de Piana and that je-ne-sais-quoi of a traditional atmosphere. Staff is great, supervised by a very professional Mady,... More

The hotel has been well known for many years and is situated just outside Piana. The views from the terrace where breakfast and lunch are served is magnificent, as is the view from the dining room. The staff are friendly, professional and service minded. Rooms have not been remodelled so retain the character of a classic hotel rather than a... More

Extremly good hotel. We had not very good situation with another booked hotel in Piana, but this hotel fiund a solution. Breakfast was awesome, accomodation without any objection. Restaraunt was also brilliant.
