We only stayed for 1 night, but enjoyed our stay. Check-in was quick and efficient, the lady at reception spoke perfect English and hotel has safe parking right across the road. Our room (37) was a bit small, but had the bonus of a balcony overlooking the courtyard and swimming pool. The bathroom was spacious enough and even had a... More

A second trip to St. Emilion and a second stay in this charming small hotel. Our room had a balcony (overlooking the garden) and this time we discovered a lovely pool and garden area behind the hotel which we had not noticed when we stayed before. I sat by the pool in glorious evening sunshine for an hour before dinner.... More

My lady and I spent a very pleasant couple of days at the Palais Cardinal the room was very nice with a small balcony, also the added extra was a garage to park, as parking in St -Emillion is a nightmare. The staff were charming and a good breakfast. I would certainly recommend this hotel, one caveat you cannot check... More

The hotel is well located to explore St Emilion which is a very pretty place to visit. My room was large but had a very strong Moldy/Musty smell which was pretty unpleasant. The Air con would only blow warm air, not too much of a problem in September but in the hot months would be a disaster. The shower (over... More

We arrived at around 11.30pm and the lady on reception had waited up for us to arrive, which was very kind of her as we had spoken earlier and suggested she leave a key out for us. She was charming and helpful. The exterior of the building is beautiful but inside is quite dated (but then this is France for... More

Great location with really helpful staff aaaaaaaaaand a pool!!! But you may not be needing that anyway there is too much wine to drink. The hotel is extremely traditional, the rooms are a bit small, but its still very comfortable and clean. The hotel is quiet and the staff are helpful.

We stayed here in august and booked last minute over the phone and while not cheap, it was clean, pleasant and nice. The room was small and simple and the staff were nice. Breakfast was a bit steep but offered a variety. I would stay again. Try pascals for your meal ! .. Altho we did not eat at the... More

The Hotel is very well located for easy access to the main areas of Saint Emilion. Rooms are well appointed with toiletries supplied. Breakfast was of very poor quality, hardly worth bothering with. Otherwise the food for both lunch and dinner was of a very good standard. Value for money, price is based on location, has its own private garage... More

We occupy more and 37, what struck us is the poverty of the products offered in the bathroom, no slippers to evolve in the junior suite or in the small courtyard or bathrobe. (I had to cover myself with a bed cover to keep warm). Possibility of smoke in the courtyard. The elevator is stuck all night (we do not... More
