We are rugby mad New Zealanders as is our daughters new French fiance, so we were very happy to discuss with great verve our opinions on the game and players of which Natasha son is a top level player. Shame he wasnt there, as I wanted to tease him, that my son was Jonah Lomu.!!! We were accommodated in a... More

Stayed here for one night - 2 rooms booked. Both were immaculate with quirky deco but this added to the atmosphere. Location could not have been better at the entrance to the town. The manager was helpful and the breakfast was great value with fresh juice, pastries, coffee, fruit and cakes - lots of them. Would not hesitate to stay... More

This B&B is in a fantastic location with a lovely garden, but that's the best that can be said about it. One of our rooms was barely more than a cupboard and the other, although a good size, was full of tacky Rugby Memorabilia. We only had a fleeting meeting with our very elusive Hostess.

We have just spent four nights here and I would strongly recommend it. This is a lovely small B&B in the heart of Saint Emilion. Everything is within walking distance - there is even a restaurant 20 metres away. There are four apartments, we had #3 which is on the second floor, very spacious with a spa bath and a... More

The manager of this B&B was unhelpful, uncooperative, and rude. We were shown a tiny room with a very small double bed that was not suitable for two men traveling together, despite the fact that I had requested twin beds and explained our situation by email in advance. Instead of offering even a simple apology, the manager immediately attacked me... More

stayed 4 nights in room 2, located on the edge of St Emilion with parking outside the hotel. Easy place to get to when you are out for the day. Range of restaurants/wine bars just 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Our room faced the street, was spacious with a good sized bathroom. Shower over the spa bath was not... More

Beautiful courtyard location at the bottom of the town providing easy access to all of the sights. The lady who runs it was very helpful and friendly. Our bedroom (1st floor, facing the courtyard) was huge and well furnished, although the large bed was too soft if you have any back ache. Breakfast was great in the open, but at... More

We found this lovely hidden gem on the internet and were a bit concerned it would be not what it seemed. What a lovely surprise. The welcome was warm, the room large and comfortable with a huge bathroom. Breakfast is served in the court yard each day. It is positioned in the middle of everything. If you don't like noise... We stayed for two nights in St. Emilion as a start of our road trip east along the Dordogne river. The place is centrally located because everything is walking distance and as a bonus, offsite is also available because it is close to the South end of town. The two pictures on tripadvisor doesn't do it justice. The room we... More

Our second visit to Les Chambres d'Ovaline and we were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome by our host on arrival. This was our second stay at Les Chambres and again our room was spotlessly clean, spacious with a kettle and fridge in the room. Breakfast in the walled garden is a must, once again warmly hosted and nicely... More
