stayed 4 nights in room 2, located on the edge of St Emilion with parking outside the hotel. Easy place to get to when you are out for the day. Range of restaurants/wine bars just 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Our room faced the street, was spacious with a good sized bathroom. Shower over the spa bath was not... More

Beautiful courtyard location at the bottom of the town providing easy access to all of the sights. The lady who runs it was very helpful and friendly. Our bedroom (1st floor, facing the courtyard) was huge and well furnished, although the large bed was too soft if you have any back ache. Breakfast was great in the open, but at... More

We found this lovely hidden gem on the internet and were a bit concerned it would be not what it seemed. What a lovely surprise. The welcome was warm, the room large and comfortable with a huge bathroom. Breakfast is served in the court yard each day. It is positioned in the middle of everything. If you don't like noise... We stayed for two nights in St. Emilion as a start of our road trip east along the Dordogne river. The place is centrally located because everything is walking distance and as a bonus, offsite is also available because it is close to the South end of town. The two pictures on tripadvisor doesn't do it justice. The room we... More

Our second visit to Les Chambres d'Ovaline and we were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome by our host on arrival. This was our second stay at Les Chambres and again our room was spotlessly clean, spacious with a kettle and fridge in the room. Breakfast in the walled garden is a must, once again warmly hosted and nicely... More

Arrived and were met by our host immediately, excellent place to stay in saint-emilion. lovely room, good size bathroom, tea and coffee provided, kettle also a fridge which was a bonus. right outside our door was a fantastic little garden area, beautifully potted up with plants and shrubs, tables and chairs - so, so comfortable just to sit outside in... Nice quiet place, well situated on the edge of town next to a public car park. Spotlessly clean. We had a large interesting themed room & spacious bathroom. Only negatives were bed on the firm side & €12 breakfast not great value. At this price, should have also provided muesli, fruit, yoghurt & had to ask for more bread. Helpful... More

The reason why we first selected this hotel was because it was an old house directly in Saint-Émilion and it is literally at the entrance of the small medieval town with direct access to all the restaurants and shops. At first we thought that the dimensions on the room listed as 60 square meters was wrong but it was not:... More

I ended up booking this hotel as my 3rd choice when my first two choices were already booked two months in advance of our trip. Having now been to Saint Emilion was I ever glad I booked it. The location is great for one simple reason, there's a parking lot just outside the hotel and I wouldn't want to have... More
