We stayed here 4 years ago, and persuaded 2 friends to come with us this time. Catherine Ouzoulias is very welcoming, does everything to ensure your stay is enjoyable, and the bedrooms are stylish and comfortable. Although we had the room closest to the road, the shutters keep the noise out. The chateau is only a 5 minute drive by... More

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Chateau Franc Pourret in mid-August and it was a most charming place and very convenient to the town of St. Emilion and the surrounding area. We drove in on D243 from the Bordeaux train station and passed the B&B the first time we went by and ended up driving to St. Emilion... More

We stayed at Chateau Franc-Pourret for 1 night at the end of July, reserving both of the bedrooms. Catherine was there to greet us on arrival and showed us straight to our rooms. The rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable, and light and airy. The furniture was beautiful, with a wardrobe that rivaled the wardrobe in 'The Lion, the witch... More

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful chateau. It was everything and more than we expected. The location is ideal, being within walking distance to the centre of St Emilion, but away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists. Catherine our host was the most accommodating and exceptional host we could have hoped for. She catered to our every... More

Upon arrival to the chateau we were warmly greeted by Catherine and guided upstairs to our lovely room. The room was very spacious with beautiful furnishings and the bathroom is very modern. I loved the large windows that opened up to the vineyard. What made the stay extra special was the wonderful breakfast where we had homemade tarts and jams... More

Catherine gives a warm and gracious welcome to her stylish home. Our bedroom (the twin) was large, very comfortable, well-appointed and furnished. There was even a Nespresso machine. The bathroom too was well equipped with high-quality fittings. Breakfast, which is taken in the guests’ elegant sitting room, was to a good standard with fresh bread and croissants and home-made jams,... More

Catherine did such a great job making my wife and I feel very comfortable. The location is about a 20 minute walk that winds through the vineyards to the small town of St. Emilion so it is not in the town, but I very much enjoyed the romantic walk with my wife through the vineyards. She prepared breakfast for us... More

Chateau Franc Pourret is a lovely chateau. It is authentically furnished with antiques and is spotlessly clean. Catherine is a really nice lady and is an excellent hostess (and a good cook). She is also very knowledgeable about wine, and her wine tour was interesting and informative. The two bedrooms are large, well equipped and comfortable. The little fridge was... More

A charming B&B - enormous, comfortable rooms with every possible accessory you could imagine (including a torch to help you get back from town at night!). A delightful host Catherine who provides an excellent breakfast at whatever time you would like it. She also provides a tour of the wine-making facility adjacent to the lodgings and will do everything to... More

Catherine is just lovely and the Chateau is both grand, charming and welcoming. The interior is sensational and the bed is most comfortable - it was lovely to purchase a bottle of Franc Pourret wine and relax in the room. We also appreciated the delicious breakfast that Catherine prepared for us. Cannot recommend highly enough.
