I am so late in getting this review written but did want to let travelers know that the Chateau Franc-Pourret is a wonderful place to stay. The chateau is beautiful and our room was unbelievable. Very large with incredibly tall ceilings, an espresso machine with a wonderful choice of coffees, great bathroom, and wonderful view of the vineyard. Catherine was... More

This by far was our best trip to France. We stayed in St Emillion( which is the best city to stay in the Bordeaux Region--do not stay in Bordeaux the city as it is a big city) at Franc Pourett. The chateau is in the best location, absolutely beautiful, and is surrounded by its own organic vineyard. Our room was... More

Very quaint old stone building converted to a B&B. Rooms very well appointed (earn points with the Mrs with this one) and comfortable. Wonderful host and very nice breakfast. While a short distance out of town, not a problem if you are driving. Found the quietness of the country along with the views of the neighboring vineyards to be the... More

A lovely charming chateau. We only stayed one night but it was a lovely large room with views over the vineyard. It was clean and slightly old fashioned in a very nice way - it fitted the style of the property. The breakfast was mainly organic (possibly completely - but not everything has a label!). They have been an Organic... More

Now, staying at wine Chateau can't exactly be cheap but this Chateau provides excellent value for money. We had a massive and lovely room with a fantastic view of the vineyards. The minibar had their own wines in the room at a very reasonable price and a nespresso machine as well. There is no swimming pool, but we were here... More

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Chateau Franc-Pourret for two days in October, which is conveniently located within the Vineyards surrounding St Emilion. The owner, Catherine, has thought of every single detail and very happy to provide you with information on what to do in town. The rooms are lovely decorated, high ceilings, antique furniture, nice bathroom. Coffee, tea and... More

We stayed at the Chateau Franc-Pourret for three nights recently and loved everything about it. Our room was the best we had during our two week visit. We enjoyed walking into St. Emilion thru the vineyards. Our only disappointment was that we had to leave one day before the harvesting of the grapes was to take place. We would have... More

We stayed at Franc-Pourret for a couple of days, the location is just great since you can walk to Saint Emilion under 20 min. The room was lovely, very spacious and the setting is just great. But, what it makes it special is the wonderful service that Catherine gives you during your stay. It also has wine tasting and cava... More

We stayed here 4 years ago, and persuaded 2 friends to come with us this time. Catherine Ouzoulias is very welcoming, does everything to ensure your stay is enjoyable, and the bedrooms are stylish and comfortable. Although we had the room closest to the road, the shutters keep the noise out. The chateau is only a 5 minute drive by... More

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Chateau Franc Pourret in mid-August and it was a most charming place and very convenient to the town of St. Emilion and the surrounding area. We drove in on D243 from the Bordeaux train station and passed the B&B the first time we went by and ended up driving to St. Emilion... More
