We enjoyed a 1 night stay at the Petite Madeleine on our recent trip through France. Located just outside the picturesque village of Saint Emilion the experience is calm and relaxing. All your needs are catered for, from wifi to bicycles and helpful tips about the local area. Would highly recommend taking the dinner, bed and breakfast option which was... More

All 6 of us had a very positive experience at La Petite Madeleine. After a rough time picking up our rental car and getting in very late at night it was wonderful to be greeted by Veronique & Chef Thor (Thor's real name was very difficult for us to pronounce so we respectfully called him by a well deserved name,... We had a hectic pace in Paris and were looking for a slower pace in a beautiful location to finish off our vacation. We found it at La Petite Madeleine. Beautiful surroundings, excellent weather, and amazing hosts. Veronique was outstanding. She could not be of more help. Breakfast was excellent and gave us a great start to our exploring of... More

Excellent hosts, lovely breakfast with homemade jams/croissants/breads/cereals and very comfortable room with all the amenities required. Would recommend taking the bikes for a ride around this beautiful area! We had a wonderful stay - thank you for your great hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay at La Petite Madeleine - the bed was comfortable and the outlook over the vineyards very peaceful. We opted for the table d'hote - an enjoyable dinner mixing with other visitors from USA and France plus our own bottle of wine which we had bought earlier in the village. Breakfast the following morning included fresh fruits... More

Good sized room with view over the vines, as far as the eye could see. We also had our own entrance so we were able to come and go as we wished without disturbing anyone else. Breakfast was generous with delicious croissant, the coffee wasn't to my liking but you can't please everyone! The only problem we had was a... More

We stayed one night at this B&B perfect location, our 14 yr old boys had their own room and bicycles were available for them to explore the vineyards and chateaus close by. Comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast with local breads, pastries, home made jams, cereal and fruits and good coffee. Hostess were welcoming and friendly. Great advise on what to... More

Ideal place to stay if you are in the St Emillion area. It is only a 5 minute drive to St Emillion itself although parking is difficult during the middle of the day - but not a problem in the evening in our experience. Thor and Veronique are superb hosts and will give you as much advice as you could... More

We stayed 1 night on a roadtrip through France. I wanted to avoid the hotels in St. Emilion and reserved this place based on the good reviews here on Tripadvisor. First of all I must say that the 2 hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Right when you reserve your room you get a long e-mail full of good advice... More

Dear Trip Advisor member, What you really need to know is that there is no cat pee smell outside of any of our rooms, including the room that this guest slept in. If any smell, it would be of a fig tree which had quite an acid fruity smell (we cut down the tree 2 weeks ago so you will... More

We really enjoyed our stay at La Petite Madeleine. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful in advising us where to go. The room was a good size with views over a vineyard and was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and the home made jams and marmalades were superb.
