Stayed at this lodge for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The place is very special and hard to describe. You've almost all the things you need and can live in comfort, but at the same time in the jungle. The guides are absolutely amazing with a vast amount of knowledge that they happily share. The lodge is build... more

My husband and I stayed at Posada Amazonas for 2 nights/3 day stays in May. The other reviewers are right when they describe it as a unique and incredible experience. I loved the exotic and tropical feel of the lodge and room. The guides (Fino and William) were absolutely amazing. They spoke excellent English, were friendly, and were skilled at... more

We spent 10 days in Peru, and our 3-night stay at Posada Amazonas was likely the best part. The lodge was lovely, with the lack of electrical lighting and the three-sided rooms really adding to the charm. The food was tasty and plentiful, and the staff did a variety of things that made our stay feel luxurious. Our guide, Ivo,... more

most of what i might write has already been said here already - i found the descriptions that others wrote to be extremely accurate. the place felt unique and unusual, our guide was great, the food was decent, the room noise a bit of a problem, and the showers cold. we thought we'd just skip the shower for the 2... more

We arrived at Posada Amazonas after a two hour boat trip which added to the feeling of remoteness. We were pleasantly surprised by our room which, although of wood and bamboo construction, didn't seem too flimsy or public. Admittedly you could hear other people but this was outweighed by fact that you could listen to the amazing sounds of the... more

We spent 3 nights and 4 days at Posada Amazonas. It was a unique experience and we were blessed with great weather (no rain in the wet season!). Our guide Rueben was very knowledgeable (although a little reserved) showing us things we would never have seen without his expert eye. Guides are assigned at the beginning of the trip and... more

We had a wonderful time - the lodge was comfortable and the tours were great. We had Oscar, who was a terrific guide. But the walls are paper thin and you can hear every conversation in the rooms next door plus people walking by -- try to get a private-ish room if possible (towards the back?) We did the three-night... more

My wife and I initially booked a 4day -3 night stay, but had to change to a 3day- 2 night stay after an airport delay altered our plans. The staff was great and modified our itinerary so that we did not miss a thing! Patricia was our guide, and she was full of energy as she explained the various species... more

We had a very enjoyable time at Posada Amazonas. The logistics all seemed to be well taken care of from our arrival in Puerto Maldonado until the time we departed. Everyone we met associated with the operation seemed knowledgable and friendly. We absolutely loved the character of the lodge...the open wall of our room, the hammocks, the curtain doors, open... more
