I really couldn't have been sadder when it came time to leave the lodge. I truly could live there for months on end and not think twice. My time in the Amazon really was amazing and extremely relaxing. The food was so fresh and delicious! Our guide Julio Cesar was absolutely perfect and more! He went above and beyond for... More

The staff and service here was fine. The night trip along the Amazon was great. Our guide was excellent and he knew how to wake up the tarantulas...lol...Just poke sticks down what look like rabbit holes near large ant's nests. We were not far from the Coca trade. Peru is dangerous and now the largest producer. Madre De Dios is... More

I took a 3D/4N tour with my mom Feb 23-26 2015 and loved every moment! Our guide Ronald was bilingual, extremely knowledgable, and enjoyable company for the trip. He even offered his help outside of the arranged walks/canoe trips when we saw wildlife around the lodge. The lodge had well-maintained trails, tidy and comfortable cabins, filling tasty food, a comfortable... More

We LOVED our stay at Tambopato Eco Lodge. Everything was perfect. We had an amazing guide named Leow. The accommodations suited us well. We loved the mosquito nets and candle lighting in our free standing cabin. We did not share with strangers the front deck as we had two rooms. The food was good. I really enjoyed the boat ride... This is amazing lodge and its real name. We were there for one night due to flight cancelled instead of 2 nights. But it was amazing experience. Very nice night walk by hotel assistance seeing all sorts of different insects and even snake! Room are so clean and eco

From the outset this place is an adventure. If you're someone who needs air-con and fancy things, this isn't for you, however if you've an adventurous heart and are willing to trade electricity and creature comforts for being woken by an orchestra from the jungle then you're in the right place. Great guides, great food, hot, humid, jungle. Heaven for... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a G adventures tour. The lodge is great - right in the middle of the jungle. You get a boat for about 2 hrs from Hell Port near Puerto Maldonado. There is no electricity in the rooms, but you get 3 candles. They recommend bringing a torch - bring a good one. I... More

We travelled by air to Puerto Maldonado, got on a 2 hour bus journey followed by a 2-3 hour boat journey to get here. Then we were pleasantly surprised to see the lodge and the accommodation - it really is quite comfortable ! We did have to shoo some frogs from our bedroom that night - they were small and... More

We travelled with G adventures which is a really nice travel agency. We had to take a 2 hour boat ride to get from Puerto Maldonado to the lodge. Every time our guides saw something the motocano stopped and we had plenty of time to watch the animals. At the lodge we had a night walk, caiman spotting at night... More

The Canadian company, GAdventures, books tour groups here; but the place is really Tambopata EcoLodge. They picked us up at the airport and provided storage for our stuff. On the whole, I was impressed with the accommodations (even tho' my roof leaked), the food, the staff, the guides. There was plenty of hot water for the showers, and vegetarian options... More
