Good points: -Nice hotel location on a dirt road with lots of animals around -Clean rooms with a heater -Quick laundry service for only 5 dollar per kg -Limited free wifi -Friendly waiters Not so good: -In the 3d2n we stayed nobody bothered to check the room. No clean towels or made up bed is fine with me, but we... More

The property is lovely, the rooms are quite cozy (and get warm after a while), the showers are hot, and the shared space with fireplace is pleasant. But they really need to work on their hospitality; other than one other couple we were the only ones there but did not cater for us. Staff was nowhere to be found most... More

This remains one of my favourites in Ecuador - out in the country-side, but still not too far from Latacunga and the markets around there, and not even that far from Quito. A very nice hotel (a transformed and expanded hacienda, good quality but not in the extra-expensive exaggerated category), very nice rooms with electric and wood-oven heating, and an... More

We stayed there for one night, a group of 15 people. The rooms were very cold, just a small radiant heater in each room, furthermore depending on large clearences between door (window) frame and door (window) leaf. The worst thing about them was the cleanness. Floor and bathroom were dirty, on the walls you could find spider webs, and hairs... More

The property is owned and managed by a Swiss-Ecuadorian family, who happen to raise St. Bernards on site. The rooms are delightful, the property is kept up, and the service is extremely good. Breakfast comes with the stay, and it's a good thing as the hotel is out in the country, not near other places. For a mountain lodge, this... More

I had stayed for one night at Cuello de Luna several years ago, and returned with my daughter for a week of trekking and climbing Cotopaxi. One of the owners, Ismael, arranged everything - a guide, transportation, etc. It was a great week - everything worked out well and climbing Cotopaxi was a fantastic experience. Cuello de Luna was a... More

Stayed here because our original hotel was being renovated. Its like a cozy country cottage. All was clean and comfortable, although we were a bit cold, so used the fireplace the first night and heater the second. Shower was nice with warm water. Food was good. There are no other facilities close by.Staff were friendly and very helpful. The yard... More

This property is quite large and comfortable, away from the bustle of the city. Very close to Cotopaxi NP, and they have different services that you can arrange through them, i.e. day tours, transportation, etc. The included meals were excellent, with good service. Rooms very large and clean.

after a trip to Cotopaxi NP, we slept at Cuello de Luna. The staff was very friendly, good food, nice atmosphere, and very very sweet Bernhardiner puppies. The house is old but this makes it special. The owner gave us good ideas for the rest of our trip
