Definitely not the best place to sleep in the Quilotoa Area. Even thought people is nice, rooms at night are really, really cold and humid; the other downer is the food, not good at all and if you haven´t eaten before you will be in trouble cause at night you are not in the mood the go walking for another... Fantastic location out there ! One of the highlights of our 10-day rental car tour during our Ecuador trip. Nice building ! Lovely huge dog ! Friendly people ! Cold! Cold! Cold! But that does not come as a surprise at the altitude. Have to ask the staff to make sure hot water is available, and in our case they... More

An agreeable building, spectacularly situated at some 4100m on the edge of the crater rim, and a large friendly dog to greet the guests. From the outside it looks like the best of the hotels at Quilotoa as the others look half-finished. However, with almost no heating or running water it is a very cold place to stay at this... More

We ended up here as part of a tour. From the outside it looks inviting and charming, but we had an unbelievably bad experience here. We were the only guests. It was freezing cold--no heat at all. There was a small heater provided in our room, but it could not overcome the cold temperatures. Dinner was an hour and a... More

just a quick review to say that one of our wallets (with half of our money for the whole trip!) was stolen, plus even some euros from another wallet, both hidden in one of our big backpacks. we did not even leave the hotel, as my friend was sick, but they took it while we were having breakfast downstairs (one... Do not stay here under any circumstances - the owner is a thief. We ignored the other reports of theft on this website turned up late-ish one night, booked rooms and ordered dinner. Shortly after we had eaten, one of the group found that US$150 and Euro20 had been taken from his wallet which had been left unattended in his... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. On the first night we had a wonderful evening spent playing cards with the owners extended family members, who were staying at the lodge for Semana Santa. The following day we left early to walk around the lake. The owner followed us to the lake and when he caught up with us politely asked... More

Stayed here with my husband and 2 sisters for 1 night. We were previously at Hostal Mama Hilda´s at Chugchilan and decided to stay here for the night so that we could see the crater and not have to back track along the loop. It was colder in Quilotoa due to the altitude and the rooms had no form of... More

We stayed here during our travel through Ecuador for one night. Only thing in the area is the crater lake and this is probably the best hotel in town. Large general area which is heated (it is over 4000 meters high there, so gets pretty cold in the evenings), good food, nice rooms (rooms with electric heating)
