We wanted to book for three nights. Our plan was to see the region but were not sure what to book. The booking staff at Tierra del Volcan were very accommodating and creative. They provided us with a package that included a fantastic guide, (Santiago) accommodations, meals, hiking and exploring, with a history lesson thrown in. Very comfortable accommodations, there... El Porvenir is one of my very favorite places in Ecuador. The setting is stunning, the hacienda is warm and inviting, and the hospitality is top notch. The food at the restaurant is extremely creative nuevo-Ecuadorian cuisine and delicious. Definitely go for a horse-back ride and do the high ropes course! Highly recommended if you want to explore the Cotopaxi... More

We were booked here for two nights but loved it so much we extended our stay. Roberto was very welcoming and helpful. The food was some of the best we had during our stay in Ecuador. The location was fantastic and we had a great view from our room - watching llamas is far more entertaining that tv! After our... More

We only spent 1 night and it was between this and Tambopaxi, which required wiring the deposit. El Porvenir I was able to reserve via booking.com and I wasn't charged in advance. Breakfast is included and they serve dinner too, which is important as there is nothing nearby. We took a cab from Quito to Machachi for $30 and got... More

We spent 4 nights at the Hacienda El Porvenir last week. My husband, 3 teenage daughters and myself. It was a wonderful experience. We loved the warm atmosphere at the hacienda, fireplaces everywhere, marvellous roses bouquets! We went horseback riding almost every day and the scenery is simply out of this world! My two oldest daughters ad my husband also... More

I visited Hacienda El Porvenir in March 2015 with two of my friends for two days and one night. After living in Quito for the past few months as a study-abroad student, El Porvenir was the change of pace I needed. First off, the welcoming staff at the hacienda is definitely one of their greatest assets. They are extremely helpful... More

We love mountains and volcanoes and had four days free, so Cotopaxi park seemed a natural choice. We didn't do our homework about the weather, but even with winter rains, we are happy we stayed here. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and unfailingly courteous and helpful. We arrived to a blue sky and windless afternoon, but chose to acclimate to... More

We spent here the last night of 2014 and it was really enjoyable! A warm welcome, a wonderful family room, many little details all around, a very good dinner and a special atmosphere. Maria José was fantastic in organizing an inovolving toast, with champagne, fire, local traditions, but she also valorized each international tradition of the people who met each... More

We have been staying here now a few days and the stay has been very nice. We have a very comfortable room and they supplied an extra heater for us which keeps the room nice and warm. While we are in the dining room, staff come into our room in the evening and place a hot water bed under the... More

We had a great time at el Porvenir. We stayed at the tiny rooms in the main house called Machay. They are like attic rooms with little beds. For me it was really comfortable and cozy but my partner found the beds too small. They have rooms you can rent outside of the main house and they are more spacious... More
