We are a family of 4 adults. We stayed at El Porvenir for just one night during our whistle stop tour of Ecuador and we really wish we had had more time there. It is a lovely hacienda in a beautiful setting. At such high altitude in the Andes it can be cold and windy outside but the rooms were... More

We had enjoyed a three night stay at this lovely Hacienda as part of our Happy Gringo Tailor Made Tour. Our Room had a lovely view across the front pastures . The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the hot water bottles in bed at night, there was also a heater to take the chill off .Hot showers were... More

We had a wonderful time, our only regret is that we were staying there only one night... The staff was very welcoming, the food was good, the location is beautiful and the room has a unique rustic charm.

We recently stayed for one night (and now wish we could have stayed longer!). We had the family suite and absolutely loved the wood stove and the hot water bottles that were placed in our beds while we were at dinner! The hacienda is so picturesque and the view of Cotopaxi behind it is breathtaking! We took the two hour... More

Unfortunately, we only had a short one night stay here and wished it could have been longer. We arrived late afternoon with the sun shining and spectacular views. Dinner was included as part of our package and was ok, but we had seen the mouth watering a la carte menu which looked fantastic with a wide variety of options. This... More

The hacienda is located in a magnificent area of the Andes, with a wonderful view of the Cotopaxi. The rooms, food and service are very good. Awesome surroundings for horseback riding, mountain bike and trekking. Definately worth the trip!

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. The views are beautiful. Windswept highland terrain with double rainbows arcing across the vistas. Horseback riding is a must even if you are a beginner. We saw condors and wild horses. The staff are very polite and hospitable. The food is especially well prepared- 5 stars! It is a peaceful getaway.... More

We had 4 nights in the family room - a couple and our 10 year old son. It was really cosy with a woodburning stove and hot water bottles every night! The Hacienda is beautiful and in a lovely location - we could see the top of Cotopaxi from our bedroom window. We had a great guide, Santiago, who organised... More

It was an excellent weekend at tierra del volcan. There are a lot of activities to do, like horseback riding, trekking and mountain biking. What we love the most is the view, the hospitality and the food. 100% recomended!!

We stayed here on a quiet day so had the place to ourselves. The staff were very friendly & helpful and standard of the rooms was excellent. We enjoyed a horse ride & a walk the following day around the beautiful countryside in the shadow of Cotopaxi.
