The building is modern, people at reception are charming, fully equipped with swimming pool and gym, restaurant nice, very good breakfast buffet, proper free internet connection. So why just three stars? Room is of good size, good furniture, proper bathroom and toiletry, but...: no bed side lamp since it is only available for the "de luxe rooms" (you did read it... More

A modern hotel, good staff, good rooms, but a bit far from anywhere. Cuiaba is a big city, and it takes some time to get anywhere from this hotel, particularly at the moment. There is construction work in many places because of work in connection with the football world cup in June.

I travel to Cuiaba on business on a regular basis and have stayed at all of the better hotels, and without question - the Gran Odara is the best. Why? The service throughout the hotel is second to none. Everyone is friendly and accomodating and thats what sets this hotel apart from the others. Its a new hotel with very... More

An enjoyable stay for one night en route to the Pantanal. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke good English and the room was lovely and spacious. Enormous bed and well stocked fridge if you wanted to buy drinks and nibbles (not cheap though). Had dinner in the restaurant, which was fine. Great service although the wine was expensive and... The reception is friendly and helpful, the room (5th floor) was superb, spacious and clean, still with a marvelous view to the south (right in front, however, there is a large high-rise under construction). Parking and internet is free, the gym as well. Only, I had a bad luck with the dinner in the restaurant "Avec" - the chorizo beef... More

The rooms were quite large. the showers had great water pressure. The rooms and the Hotel was very clean. Located right across from a very large grocery store which also is... More

After spending a few terribly exciting yet exhausting days exploring the Pantanal, anything with aircon and no mosquitoes would have been fine, but this place was just divine. We'd already discovered Brazilians don't do anything by halves, so when they say this is a luxury hotel, they really mean it. We checked-in an had lunch in their restaurant which was... More

OK, I haven't stayed at every hotel in Cuiaba, but I did stay at this on twice in October 2012. I actually changed from another location to get this hotel. The English spoken by the desk staff is excellent, and provided very helpful information in response to my questions. They were kind enough to fix me a special breakfast to... More

We ended up at the Gran Odara Hotel after a confusing start to our trip to Cuiaba. We were to drive on to another town but due to darkness and unknown roads we stayed the night in Cuiaba. The first night we ended up in a hostel, it was clean, but with no hot water we knew we were too... More
