This is the best place in the world to see jaguars I saw 5. My holiday was arranged by east travel in Ipswich. We started in the pantanal then went to chile and argentina. We stayed at great hotels and had a fantastic trip through the Andes staying for a night in the Andes at a wonderful place. Won't forget... More

Very nice place at the end of the Transpantaneira. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a/c. Food was good and plentiful, and caipirinhas are great after a hot day out on the water. There is great birding on the grounds with Hyacinth Macaws, but the real star of the show for this area are the jaguars. The boat excursion... More

the lodge is friendly and comfy, very welcome after a long drive, and the food is simple but plentiful and good - but the highlight was of course the jaguars, calmly chilling out by the side of the water. Very special.

This hotel offers that rare combination of comfort and personal service. the staff were all really helpful, the food was plentiful and well-cooked, and the room was air-conditioned and quite large. The sightings of the amazing wildlife from our small boat on the river were just wonderful - we even saw several Jaguars relaxing on the river bank. Other highlights... More

We stayed for 3 nights in July 2013. The lodge is comfortable and Nelson is a helpful host. Food was as described by others, OK, but some dishes were not very warm. We arrived at a Saturday lunchtime to see hyacinth macaws and toco toucan just inside the gate. The lodge was very busy with fishermen and some of the... More

This is the place to go for Jaguar viewing. The hotel is primarily a fishing lodge and it was full of fishermen at the weekend - but there is a growing business in Jaguar tourism and this is a great base for that. We had originally planned to stay at the Flotel but after a mix up with our booking,... More

This hotel is superbly situated overlooking the immediately nearby river in expansive grounds and fabulous cuisine. While we were out spotting Jags (we saw two only over four days but another earlier trip -middle of July is best- saw seven in the same time span- the Pantanal race of Jags is the largest sized) amidst natural spectacles galore, we all...
