This is really a schools facility with s few private rooms added on. Beware If you think you will have a quiet desert experience you may be very disappointed In the facility groups are largely unsupervised and with the origin and nature of some of the groups its going to be very noisy evening and through the night In fairness... We choose this place on our way to Dead Sea, so we did not check it very well. We were surprised for so nice place with wide choose of food on the breakfast and the morning view was fantastic. The hostel is near to MASADA which I strongly recommend to visit. It was super great! :-) Our stay there was... More

My wife and I took a private room, which was basic, but clean and comfortable. Best place to start an early (i.e. 5:30 am) hike up Masada. The hike takes 45-60 minutes and is a significant walk but I'm 69 and had no problem. Sunrise is very nice from the top. The room is not inexpensive, but if you're going... More

The meals were wonderful, taste, fresh and filling. The hostel was clean and well maintained. The cafeteria staff were attentive and nice. The rooms were basic and comfortable. The pool was stunning, staffed with a lifeguard and amazing! Looking forward to returning. Gas and groceries within 5 mile drive from location. Masada trails and visitor center a short walk uphill.

Your best option to walk up to Masada early in the morning - or take small trips to Ein Gedi and the Dead sea. Other that that - hotel is in the middle of the desert so there is nothing much else to do :) Everything was very clean, the shower worked great, the views were spectacular - the best... More

We went there with a group for the weekend. They were very apt at handling groups while at the same time we saw lots of other guests enjoying the hotel as well. One of the best ventures one can do is climb Masada at 4am and catch the sunrise over the Jordanian mountains from the top. Its a good 30-60... More

The Masada youth hostel is part of the ANA youth hostel chain in Israel, and one of the better ones. The building was designed to blend into the landscape, which it does. Rooms (doubles/family) are spacious, with at least one hideaway bed, a double bed and an additional bed. Mattresses and linens are good, and the room has a separate... More

Big rooms that can be configured for 2 or 6, with private baths and a working TV. Pool was closed, even though the weather (March) was good. Lots of youth groups, but they were fun. Food was fine, and we were steps to the tram up Masada. Views down to the Dead Sea from our room. This is one of... More

It is all about the location. Just next to Masada in a sole location on the western slopes of the mountain. It is very Spartan, expect clean place, simple beds & hopefully a working TV. In spite the fact that school trips are staying there the place is good maintained. Simple food. Very different from the classic touristic hotels in... More

We decided to be at the top of Masada mountain first thing in the morning. So the choice of this hotel was great. It is less a "hotel " but more some kind of good gest house. It has big rooms for groups of teenagers or large families. The girls in the recipient were very friendly and polite, and took care... More
