i read and read and read reviews before booking a very last minute trip to the masada hostel. i wanted something clean, safe and relaxing for me and my 17 year old son. as reported elsewhere, THE FOOD WAS PLENTIFUL AND FANTASTIC. even my 17 year old son was full after dinner! the room was clean, air conditioned, and even... Although the Guest House is very convenient to the Masada site, the rooms were Spartan, and the food uninspired. We nearly missed dinner when we arrived, because the front desk did not tell us we needed a slip of paper from it to get into the restaurant. The air conditioning was adequate but not great. The beds were marginally comfortable.... More

Masada Guest House is located at the foot of the mountain; guests can get up at 4:30AM to climb the mountain for the sunrise. The place is quite nice as hostels go; its main selling point is the outdoor pool which is a lifesaver after a few days in the desert heat. The only negative point is that there is... More

Great place, really easy to get to the Dead sea and Masada Nationak Park. Rooms are spacious and cousy, the view from the balconies is more than just beautiful and from the mail terrace in the lobby you can see amazing sunsets and sunruses. Disadvantage: on a hot day it's hard to get to the nearest shop. The walk is... More

We only stayed for one night in the Masada hostel, but it was a pleasent one. The room was large, clean and comfortabel with good views from the balcony. Although it was one of the more expensive stays during our stay (539 shekels) it included a dinner buffet. The view from the dining/breakfast room is stunning. The food (dinner, breakfast)... More

We were a family of 4 and stayed in a room with 2 bunk beds. The room was large and clean and the beds comfortable. We had the buffet dinner and especially loved the schnitzel. The breakfast had a wonderful selection of typical Israeli style with lots of salads, cheeses, breads etc. We enjoyed the pool and it was great... More

While on the pricy side for a hostel, the location of this accommodation was completely worth it! This was the perfect base to explore Masada, with only a 5 minute walk to the start of the Snake Path - making it perfect for the sunrise hike. The bus stop is just outside the hostel which allows for easy access to... More

The Hostel has family rooms with bunk beds. There was a small fridge and water pot for coffee/tea (which we did not use). The bathroom was very large with separate doors for toilet and shower while leaving the double sinks available. The location was great for visiting the Dead Sea at Ein Bokek and Masada. Breakfast was plentiful, but not... More

Me and my family - 2 adults + 3 kids stayed there a week ago and had a great stay. The hostel offers great value for money in a prime location, nearby the Dead Sea and Masada. We enjoyed a clean room , an amazing swimming pool and a lovely hospitality.

Its a youth hostel - so expect lots of young people and all the noise that goes with them. Expect also low cost mass catering. The hostel achieves its objective of being a wonderful base from which to explore Masada and the surrounding area. We had a superior double room with a fabulous view over the dead sea. The room...
