We just came back from 3 days, 2 nights at this hotel. The good thing about this hotel it's the location. The hotel is old, you can see it wherever you go. at the bathroom, the room, furniture etc. One day we woke up at 07:50 AM with loud noise of drilling outside our room. The food was OK, not... More

We stayed at the Hod on July 22, we paid $189.00 and in our reservation let them know we had a teenage daughter with us. They charged us an additional $88.00 per night for her. They were to bring an extra bed up for her to sleep on. They brought two beds up that were torn, filthy and stained. They... More

I went to Hod and fell in love right away - Great room, high-level food, and most important - the best beach in the dead sea. I highly recommend it to every person near the dead sea, and any traveler coming to israel.

I consider being at the Dead Sea one of the most relaxing vacations, as the area is secluded and quiet. In this mindset, I consider the Hod Hamidbar the perfect place to stay. It has everything a Spa should have and is small enough not to become a tourist factory. It might not have the most stars of all, but... More

Stay at this hotel for an extended stay to take advantage of the health benefits of the Dead Sea. This hotel is one of the few that is right on the beach, making access to the Dead Sea extremely convenient....which is critical, because the last thing that you want after going for a dip is a 15 minute walk back... I brought two clients here for a "Yom Kef" which means day of fun in Hebrew. They used the locker room, the beach and had lunch. It was delightful. Lots of chaise lounges with sun umbrellas over them, a very nice lunch with meat options and good service (although a cup of tea was 10 shekels more). The water was... More

We came here for the lunch and spa package in early May and it was very pleasant. Not too crowded and reasonable value for money for around £25 for a nice buffet lunch and pool/sea access. It's showing it's age a little bit and the indoor pool was pretty crowded but the staff were friendly and we enjoyed our experience... More

Went to the hotel as it's being ranked 1st place in TA. If you are looking for relaxing vacation, this is not the place. Tiny, filthy, poorly maintained and overcrowded public facilities - lobby, pool, spa and finally the beach. The spa is so packed with people, you feel like sardines in the can, especially at weekends. And the hotel... More

We recently had the misfortune to stay at this hotel. This was a package of one night with tickets for the opera at Masada. We had never heard of it but our travel agent assured us it it was of similar standard to other good 5 star hotels in Ein Bokek. The reception area was tiny and crowded. The lifts... More
