My friend and I just came back from two weeks vacation at Dead Sea Hod Hamidbar Hotel. Hotel was recommended to us by my Israeli friends and we were not disappointed about our choice at all. Actually, we were pleasantly surprised from quality service we received. Everything was just perfect ! Very clean and sunny room, nice SPA, beautiful beach... More

As part of any tourist package of Israel, a stop at the Dead Sea is a highlight. Hod Hamidbar is a wonderful property to accomplish this, while enjoying the bathing experience in the very salty Dead Sea. Don't forget to rub the Ahava "mud" on! Suggestions for those day visitors: make this your last stop of the day, as you... More

We loved staying in this hotel. Unlike other hotels, which are located across the street from Dead Sea, this hotel is right on the shore. We loved the spa/pools: staff works tirelessly and worth every penny. Breakfasts, dinners present an abudance of delicious food. Room was cozy and comfortable. There is free wifi and exercise room. Will be coming back.

The location on the beach of the dead sea is nice, but nothing in this town is more than 50m from the water, so it is not a big advantage. The rooms were nice and larger than typical. At this time of year, the water is very cold, so most people seem to come here for the spa rather than... More

Location, location, location. A few steps to theDead Sea. Friendly staff, and helpful. Buffet breakfasts were good. The spa services were wondul. I wish I couldhave stayed longer. Although it was holiday time in Israel, it never felt crowded .

Unlike many of the other hotels in the Ein Bokek area, the Hod is clean and looks recently renovated. Staff: very helpful and multilingual and diverse. They were very friendly and accommodating to guest needs. The only thing to be aware of is that reservations for the hotel and spa do not seem to answer the phone on Friday nights... More

A good 3 star hotel with comfortable compact rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was adequate served in a 70's style canteen with white table cloths at night...Dirty plates etc were slow to be cleared....Some of the areas needed a good clean....The spa was crowded although it was pretty good.It was virtually impossible to sit around the... This was a perfect Holliday in December - at the Dead Sea ! Hod Hamidbar hotel is not a huge hotel but it's location onthe beach makes it perfect. You don't have to dress up and cross the street or take the shuttle in order to reach the beach . You just go out of the beautiful spa & straight... More

We stayed at the hotel for one night on a Saturday (which conveniently was the slowest day of the week) and had a wonderful time. The hotel is small compared to other major hotels in the area and it has a private beach that is open to guests 24 hours a day within a short walking distance (though the walks... More
