We just spend three nights at Herods Hotel at the Dead Sea. The hotel had been recently renovated and the public areas were very nice and especially the indoor salt water pool which was normally not crowded and well maintained with towels and mineral water provided. The beach was also well maintained. The restaurant was excellent and the breakfast and... More

The hotel is located right at the edge of the Dead Sea and is beautifully decorated. The rooms are very comfortable with gorgeous views.Guests also have access to an outdoor pool, an indoor salt-water pool, Jacuzzi, and saunas. There is a spa with special treatments and massages as well (cost is additional). The staff was pleasant and very accommodating. The... More

Expensive hotel but what a treat ! Clean.Good service and excellent food. In addition the hotel spoils their guest at the Spa or sitting at the pool by offering them a small ice cream every day...during our stay! The maintenance of the pool or the sea shore and of the spa is excellent. One remark: we came to enjoy the... More

Stayed for one night on the way from Tel Aviv to Eilat. Bad internet connection (Israel prides itself on being a high-tech country), floors slippery - a disaster waiting to happen, mediocre food, piles of dirty bedding from the vacated rooms laying around all afternoon on the floor until African workers start cleaning corridors at 9pm at night yelling at... I've stayed in many excellent hotels on my travels. My first experience at the Dead Sea was at a large noisy chaotic hotel. Moving to Herods was like walking into shear Paradise. I was impressed by the beautiful blue of the walls, the chandelier on the ceiling like myriad jewels twisted in a beautiful form, , the large paintings of the... More

Highly DISSAPOINTING :Took my family on holiday vacation on 8/10/14 till 12/10/14 with high expectation thinking the name HERODS chain of hotel cannot dissapoint as we aware of the name in Eilat Unfortunately the conditions we encountered were very very dissapointing for the following reasons: Size of room minimal, probably 20 sqm, bathroom 4 sqm no bath, shower hardly works, ceiling paint peeling,no amneties,one... Arrived at hotel at 2.55pm. Was told room not ready, but will be in about 20 minutes. This was a very acceptable answer. But after many different stories from the manager, we finally got to our room at about 5.40pm. We are absolutely disgusted with this hotel and would only recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
