Highly DISSAPOINTING :Took my family on holiday vacation on 8/10/14 till 12/10/14 with high expectation thinking the name HERODS chain of hotel cannot dissapoint as we aware of the name in Eilat Unfortunately the conditions we encountered were very very dissapointing for the following reasons: Size of room minimal, probably 20 sqm, bathroom 4 sqm no bath, shower hardly works, ceiling paint peeling,no amneties,one... Arrived at hotel at 2.55pm. Was told room not ready, but will be in about 20 minutes. This was a very acceptable answer. But after many different stories from the manager, we finally got to our room at about 5.40pm. We are absolutely disgusted with this hotel and would only recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

A small party of us stayed here for two nights in early October. We were pleasantly impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the extensive outside pool and beach area. This hotel recently underwent an extensive upgrade. It is one of the few hotels that actually is on the Dead Sea, unlike others that are across the main street.... More

You can't beat the location, and after all, you come here for the location. This hotel, located directly on the beach at the Dead Sea has stunning views, particularly over the water toward Jordan. However, it is not near anything--no restaurants or recreation. The rooms are attractive and clean; the highlight is the ample balcony that included a table and... More

Even though that hotel was located on the first line we weren't enjoy .But now this hotel was reconstructed and changed name for Leonardo Herod's hotel . All rooms reconstructed, got balcony and views on the see. Reconstructed pool area and beach... More

The hotel is generally very impressive, from the reception to the spa, bar and dining area and the pool. Likewise, some of the staff are really friendly, such as Ora and Sari. However, there are some minor niggles with both the building and the employees. Whilst the hotel was generally very clean, there was an issue with a leaky roof... More

My family and I visited Israel from the US and one of our stops was the Dead Sea. We arrived at the Herod which is a first class hotel. The staff at the reception was very friendly and sensitive to our needs. The front desk manager Jonathan personally greeted us with the utmost hospitality. Throughout out our 3 day stay... More

The location is fantastic. The facility leaves a lot to be desired. Lunch was underwhelming with the exception of the poppyseed chocolate cake Water dripping thru the ceiling, clueless staff, dirty surfaces abound. You won't impress a date here.
