We spent two nights in this hotel. The room was small and looking out the front, with an overall dreary aspect to it, and the price, at €100 per night for the room was not good value. That said, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the garden and the pool were lovely, the food was really good and the... More

we were here for 3 days with our 5y old son. Based on some reviews here we asked for a bigger room above the restaurant and it was very good. only the carpet is a bit worn and not so nice, but the rest was all great. bathroom with shower and bath, internet all worked perfectly. also a great thing... Really enjoyed staying here. Genuine patina about the place with heaps of character. Enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the courtyard and the kids enjoyed the pool. Family room was big with a good ensuite and a lovely old deep bath. This is probably the pick of the hotels in the area - was recommended by tourism office in adjacent... More

Our second visit to this Hotel to spend a couple of days in the mountains. So many positive things to say about this hotel. The easy parking, stunning gardens and pool area. Beautiful courtyard and the public areas are so traditional and beautiful. It is very central to the town with lovely shops and market. However - some of the... More

Stayed for one night as part of our 6 week trip travelling around France and Italy. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool. Good location. Nice view of the mountains. Wifi wasn't very good in the room but worked well in the common areas.

I stayed here with a tour group of about 20 people (so not sure what the per-night cost was) and I found it an excellent place to stay. The staff were uniformly helpful, and you can tell that it is run by a family who care about their hotel. The building has obviously had many additions over the years (we... More

We loved the old school charm of this hotel and would love to return. At first I thought it a little tired but was wrong. It's really lovely and Charming. The friendliness and humour of the staff won me over at Reception. It was October and the room was warm and clean, large windows and a nice view of the... More

The hotel is set in a nice old building, with a swimming pool and gardens. We didn't try the restaurant as a fixed meal of 28 Euros was not what we wanted to pay, but it looked cosy. Nor the swimming pool as the weather wasn't agreeable, despite it being heated to around 26 degrees (I prefer it warmer!) My... More

Having found the main roads through saint Gironde busy, we were pleased to find this hotel up a side street with lots of parking ( both in the street and the hotels private car .we were made to feel very welcomed. The room was large enough, Old French, very clean, with a lovely large bathroom. The meal we had that evening was... More

The reception was impeccable and the staff was very helpful. We had a large and pleasant, comfortable room. The courtyard is very nice and there's a pool area which is also very pleasant. The restaurant is quite good. I would definitely stay there again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the middle of the Pyrenean Mountains, in the heart of the Natural Park, one minute away from downtown Saint-Girons, the Hotel & Restaurant Eychenne welcomes you with lots of smile in a cosy atmosphere. All our clients are always surprised when they discover our hotel. We are located in a small street of Saint Girons, just next to downtown. Our facade is charming, but doesn't let people guess all the space we have to offer until they come in. At the entrance, in the hall and at the reception, everything is subject to photographs. One step inside, and people can feel like they are just travelling in time, apealed to an old style french hotel, very traditional, but with all the comfort of modernity... with more than 4000m2 of facilities! ... more   less
