My boyfriend and I planned our first trip to the Finger Lakes May 8-10. We decided to stay here after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor, and our Seneca Lake Wine Trail packet indicated that it was also dog friendly-just what we needed. There weren't many others staying at the Lakeside Resort that weekend, so we allowed our puppy to... More

I highly recommend staying here. it's a great price for the area, clean, tony and jimmy are the greatest; very friendly and helpful, breakfast every morning was great & you can't beat the view or... Me and my wife stay here every year when we make our annual trip to Watkins Glen. Tony is very hospitable and one of the many reasons we come back each year. Both the motel rooms and cabins are nice and affordable. Its a quick drive to the park and town and not to mention a gourgeous view of the... More

I am rating this motel on the west side of Lake Seneca VG because we did not have high expectations in advance, and it exceeded them. My husband and I were looking for an inexpensive motel near Watkins Glen (and wineries of course), and with the modest free breakfast, this one fit the bill. In years past we had stayed... More

My husband and I race cars in both the pro and amateur levels, and I personally have been coming to the Watkins Glen area for over 16 years, at LEAST 6 times a year. Of all the places I've stayed, this is the absolute worst. First, the weekend we stayed was full everywhere else (2 weddings, and a leaf-tour -... More

You can't beat the location or the price of this motel. So close to Watkins Glen but far enough that it's totally peaceful. The rooms are a little dated in the decor, but I can deal with that because that's not too important. The room was very clean which matters more to me. The owner, Tony, was very friendly and... If you're looking for a place to stay in the midst of the wineries on Seneca Lake, the location is perfect. However, some of the main reasons we chose to stay at the Lakeside Resort fell short of our expectations. They boasted of free breakfast, but the only available items were rasin bran and mini Lender's bagels. Also, the wifi... More

Years ago local motels were a bit scary, and it always made sense to stay at a big major chain. But in the last few several years, I've notice that there are some local motels popping up that are much more pleasant, relaxing and clean that the big guys. This place is one of them. The place is obviously well... More

We stayed 2 nights in this very quiet, relaxing, clean place. Location is perfect. We played snooker in the evening and breakfast is complimentary! Owner and his dog are welcoming and want to make sure that you're happy! We will come again!
