The Seneca lodge is like camping. The walls are so thin you hear everything whether you want to or not. Rooms are musty. Food is not very healthy many starches and not enough choices. Coffee like hot water. The waiter smelled of weed. The positive is the micro brew at the bar. Excellent beers go somewhere else to eat.

Seneca Lodge is a throwback to the days of woodsy resorts and roadside motels. It has changed little since first going there in 1990's. And we all keep coming back to sleep in modestly updated rooms with newer bathrooms and surprisingly thick new towels. The bedding definitely needs refreshing and new mattresses. But all that is overlooked but the setting... More

Enjoyed breakfast here the other day. Heard good thing figured why not try it. Curb appeal not much but once inside it has a very nice rustic charm.I thought it would be a little musty considering the age and type of building, but it wasn't. Breakfast was good, could have been hotter.

My husband and I stayed in one of the newer cabins on our way to New Hampshire. The cabin was clean, had it's own bathroom and shower and little porch. It was perfect for a place to stay one night. We had drinks at the lodge and ordered take out. The food was pretty normal for a hamburger and chicken... More

We stayed two nights at Seneca Lodge. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. We ate dinner in the lodge and the food was good. We had breakfast there also and the food was definitely a great value. Service was also good and the meals. The Bar Room is very cool but the service... More

After the less than glowing reviews on this site we approached our weekend with some trepidation. The site of the old cabins as we drove in the entrance only served to confirm our apprehension. As it turned out our fears were vanquished with the luck of the draw of the newly constructed cabins on the Southeast corner of he property.... More

We checked out one of the motel rooms and we would not stay in the motel section as the room we viewed had a very 1970s feel and smelled musty. Then we checked out the cabins and they were basic (no tv) but new which turned out to be a bad thing. Bad because they are so new the wood... More

We stayed 3 nights in the motel. Pros: Very friendly staff and bartenders Very clean despite the room needing updating Very close to area attractions Deer every night about 15 ft away grazing Cons: Really uncomfortable bed and pillows No shampoo in the shower For $100 per night we may look into other options for next time. If I could... More

They have motels and cabins. We chose the overpriced moteI. It had a very bad, strong odor, like varnish. Needed updating. Bed was hard and lumpy and pillows were hard. No box of tissues or toiletries (except soap) in the room. No deadbolt on the door. There was no clock in the room. There was only 1 washcloth in the... More

Some of the cabins here are quite rustic and not updated. We stayed in one of the motel units which was updated and very clean with comfortable beds. The bar and dining hall here are truly great. Places like this really don't exist anymore. You must experience it. Can't wait to return.
