I recently stayed at Seneca Lodge with my 2 small dogs. The one bedroom cabin was private and rustic and met my needs. The price is fair and the surrounding are good for dogs. I felt safe even though I was alone. I recommend taking bug spray, any necessities, and a fan, and of course hiking shoes! The Watkins Glen... More

Highly recommend this gem of heading to the Fingerlakes! We stayed in one of the newly renovated cabins and it was great. Close by is Watkins Glen State Park and the hike along the gorge is a must. Bar area is cool and restaurant is good and moderately priced. Friendly and helpful staff.

We met family here at the Seneca Lodge. The A frame was ok although the eve of the roof was riddled with carpenter bees. The cabin we stayed in was ok. It had 2 full beds and a working bathroom that was clean. Nothing special about it, very rustic. I'd say only stay here if you are comfortable with tent... More

Needed affordable weekend lodging in Watkins Glen on short notice. Saw mixed reviews; but like simple, locally owned motels so I decided to try it. Got a cabin for $75 / night, 2 night minimum on the weekend (which is standard in the Glen during summer). Porsche club was at the track, so the place was pretty full. We were... More

Six of my family members and I wanted to meet in Watkins Glen over Memorial Day weekend. Seneca Lodge provided an affordable and clean place to stay for our getaway. We stayed in the efficiency unit which can accommodate up to 6 and has a full kitchen and bath, as well as the king room adjacent to it. This was... More

Lucky for them my wife got sick and we went home. It started with the centapede in the shower. Then the towels with dirt and toothpaste on them and ended with the sheets that either were dirty or were put on the bed last fall. Like I said wife got sick so it was a no brainer to run for... More

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins last September for one night. The bed, the carpet, the walls all smelled like mold. It felt like a window has not been opened for ages. There was an air conditioner/ ventilator from 80s and was filthy. The sheets were damp and smelly. I have mold allergies and my asthma... More

The Seneca lodge is like camping. The walls are so thin you hear everything whether you want to or not. Rooms are musty. Food is not very healthy many starches and not enough choices. Coffee like hot water. The waiter smelled of weed. The positive is the micro brew at the bar. Excellent beers go somewhere else to eat.

Seneca Lodge is a throwback to the days of woodsy resorts and roadside motels. It has changed little since first going there in 1990's. And we all keep coming back to sleep in modestly updated rooms with newer bathrooms and surprisingly thick new towels. The bedding definitely needs refreshing and new mattresses. But all that is overlooked but the setting... More

Enjoyed breakfast here the other day. Heard good thing figured why not try it. Curb appeal not much but once inside it has a very nice rustic charm.I thought it would be a little musty considering the age and type of building, but it wasn't. Breakfast was good, could have been hotter.
