I heard this place has the best vegan ice cream. I stoped by and had the Pina Colada Vegan ice cream. It was the best ice cream ever. Pineapple chunks, shredded coconut, made with almond milk and some other stuff. Perfect for my lactose intolerance. Awesome.

The Colonial Inn was a great place to stay. Short walk to marina if your traveling by boat as we did. Close to a number of stores for shopping. Also close to a number of pubs for a cold one and something to eat. The rooms while old we found to be very clean and cute. Also priced right.

20-25 years ago I used to come to Watkins Glen every summer for a long weekend and I always stayed at the Colonial Inn. Since I was passing through the area last week I stayed there again. I recall that I always preferred the main house, but there was no availability so I stayed in the motel out back. It... More

Just spent two days in the area, the beds and pillows were very very comfortable. The hotel staff was very laid back, very family run from what I could tell. They were just putting new flat scenes TVs into all the rooms. They sell pottery as well, very staying at grandma's homey...was a very nice stay for my purpose, but... More

This is our second time in Watkin's Glen and our second time at the Colonial. It's not a modern place, but is a great old place that's still in the 1930's, We feel right at home there, and don't NEED flat-screen TVs, totally modern furnishings, and what all to be happy. The owner's a great guy who also has a... More

The Colonial is located in the center of town- walking distance to local shops, and eateries. The rooms were clean and well appointed, however if you're looking to stay in a corporate best western style hotel, this shouldn't be your pick. We stayed in a two room suite in the inn, and it was quaint, charming, and homey. The beds... More

We stayed only one night. It's right down the street from Watkins Glen State Park entrance. It's close to places to see & eat. Very reasonably priced. The room is very dated but clean. The night time is quiet as the motel - is back from the street. The owner is on the premises & works to keep things running smoothly

My husband and I came up from PA for a one night trip. We typically visit the area two or three times a year however, this was the first time we have ever stayed at the Colonial. The motel itself looked as though no one had stayed there in quite some time. There were a lot of leaves blown into... More
