The gorge itself is amazing, one of the most beautiful thing we've seen in all of our trips. As for the camping within the state park, it was absolutely awful. Party until 1:00AM, disgusting toilets (with doors that can't be open by children once lock!) and showers (with showers doors with 1" gap)...not mentioning feces on the floor and beer... More

Clean, beautiful state park. We walked up along the waterfall and also went behind the waterfall. It was a good experience. Kids should have lot of fun walking along the gorge. Pets/Dogs are not allowed.

Beautiful park. Clean. A little crowded but the views of endless waterfalls as we hiked up. Took the bus going down. That's a smart move and saved us time. Food was relatively cheap and people were friendly. Easy drive from New Jersey. Loved the ice cream. Went to Corning museum. Very informative. Antiquing in Corning. Cheap too. Worth the travel.

Take the time and walk this state park. My most favorite state park I've ever been to. The gorge is fantastic. Wear your tennis shoes, bring water and your camera and let the beauty of this park blow your mind!

Gorgeous park with lots of opportunities for hiking, space for spreading out/playing with the kids (if that's your thing), and easy access to town for supplies, if needed. We camped 2 nights on site 276 in Tuscarora...it was a great site with a relatively decent amount of privacy and fairly easy access to bathroom facilities. There are a number of... More

Having hiked this area twice in the last 25 years when vacationing in the area, we, again, chose to hike this park along with another couple. Although there are many steps which are now a bit difficult for my wife, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. We stayed at the Glenora Winery which is only a few miles north of the... More

This is gorgeous scenery, and by taking the bus to the high point and walking down to where I left my car, it was a very easy place to visit. I highly recommend it! It's well worth it to visit the Corning Museum as well, when one is in the area.

My wife and I took our two children, boy 11 and girl 13 here in July. We had heard that the area was amazing, and it did not disappoint. This park was located very close to the walking and hiking trails that explore the Watkins Glen gorge, and what an amazing experience that was. The park itself was clean, quiet... More

We were pretty much the only campers here the day after labor day. Felt like it was all ours. It rained all night but there were plenty of trees to make sure our rainfly didn't get hammered. Walking from your campsite to the gorge is awesome. What an amazing camping trip.
