We booked in on our last night of a week long trip that included Carcassonne and Bordeaux. From arrival to departure it was a flawless stay. Our car was taken to their garage, an important feature because we had twelve cases of wine. We were shown to our room: huge with a high wood ceiling and rafters. Our twin beds... More

The hotel is in the center of the small village of Mirepoix which has a lovely farmer's market, and is a very convenient to drive to see Carcassonne. The room we had was a good size with very high ceilings, and the common areas had tapestries and lovely touches. The overall feel in our room and for most the hotel... More

Charming and with exquisite furnishings including Villeroy & Boch ceramics in the bathroom, this is a fabulous place to stay. When we arrived there was no formal reception desk. We were actually first met by a large labrador! Shortly after, a lady appeared who didn't speak any English (or chose not to!) and we garbled our way in to being... More

Like most of the previous reviewers our experience of this charming hotel was absolutely wonderful in numerous ways. The care and attention of the staff and the owner, at all times of the day, was perfect. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable, the welcome tray extensive and a pleasant touch. Often the charm of creaking wood floors, soaring ceilings... More

My wife and I had a very good stay at this fine old hotel, but we came away with different opinions. To start, we arrived on a Saturday evening after driving through the Pyrenees and discovering a Cathar Castle. When we got to the hotel around 6:00 PM there was no one to greet us. All of the doors were... More

What a wonderful experience, right in the middle of the medieval town. Roger was wonderful, as the 'fair' was in town with diversions he collected our car and drove it to the hotel arranged for the luggage to be taken to our rooms and parked the car in their secure garage, well worth booking. The roomswere great with the best... More

We stayed here on the first night of our trip, having flown into Carcassonne Airport. The room and bathroom were stunning, and the complimentary minibar is such a nice touch. The hotel had us booked in for dinner before we arrived, and the food was absolutely spectacular. It's a tasting menu with no choice, so we got to try dishes... More

We happened to stay at the hotel for the two days that the kitchen was closed so we had no chance to experience the food. The menu looked super. The one way system in the twon makes approaching the hotel tricky and we were worried about parking. However, its easy to learn the route and we always managed to get... More

We booked a room at this hotel primarily because the location seemed ideal for exploring the surrounding area of the Pyrenees. What a stroke of luck. The town of Mirepoix is so much more wonderful than the surrounding areas we thought we had wanted to see that we scrapped most of our plans and just stayed put. The hotel is... More

Really enjoyed a seven day stay here. Conveniently situated near the historic centre of mirepoix( which is beautiful in its own right), this lovely hotel delivers on all fronts. The rooms are comfortable, atmospheric and clean with good complimentary drinks( both alcoholic and non alcoholic). Wifi is fast and reliable too. But what really makes this hotel is the food...
