This gite is in a lovely village in the Eastern Pyrenees. It was once a hotel and restaurant. However, over 45 years of use and age have taken their toll and the proprietor is, though delightful, not altogether on top of things any more. Please note that L'Atalaya is no longer operating as a hotel. It has been converted to a gite and chambre d' hotes. Madame Toussain soldiered on after the death of her husband but obviously found running the hotel too much for her. A great pity as we had stayed many times, and loved everything about the place.
