I stayed at Mweya Lodge for 3 nights in June this year. This was my first trip to Africa and indeed Uganda, and the first place I would stay during my trip. I thought the service was exceptional, very friendly and helpful staff. I thought the lodge itself was very charming and my room was large and full of character.... more

I actually ended up staying at Mweya on accident. We went to the park and were planning to camp for the three nights we spent there. Another girl in the group decided to get a room for the night, thinking the cost would be worth the experience of staying in a safari lodge after spending a month living with locals.... more

We visited Queen Elizabeth National Park last December and really enjoyed the Park experience. We spent 1 night at Mweya after a long drive from Murchison falls, and two nights at King Fisher hotel after a Park ranger told us about it. The biggest advantages Mweya Safari lodge has over the other options near QENP are a result of it's... more

We stayed in the Royal Lodge with our friends. The rooms were huge and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Great views across the channel that runs between Lakes George & Edward. Various animals wander the grounds ranging including hippo, warthog and mongoose. more

Whenever we are in Uganda we make a point if possible to spend a few nights here. The location on the Peninsular overlooking the Kazinga channel is justification enough but it does not end there. There is the Wildlife, the Grounds, the friendly welcoming staff and the well run ambience of the whole place. This is one of those rare... more

We decided to extend our stay from 3 to 4 nights because we enjoyed our stay at the Mweya Lodge so much. The views from the bedroom, dining room, the bar, and the swimming pool were just stunningly beautiful. We were also surprised to find out that the costs of drinks, which were not included in the full board roomrate,... more

We stayed at Mweya Safari Lodge for 2 nights in August ‘08. The location is beautiful, we could watch the wildlife across the Kazinga Channel from our room. The room itself was a little lackluster considering the location, but adequate. While the room and the bathroom were clean (good water pressure), we found that after the bug spray in the... more

In July 2008, we stayed at the Mweya Safari Lodge in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is situated on a penisula overlooking the Kazinga Channel one one side and with spectacular views towards the Ruwenzori Mountains on the other. On arrival we were in awe of the stunning location and the large scale production of the lodge. We had... more

Mweya Safari Lodge is a westernised hotel lacking the unique charm of some of the places we stayed in Uganda, but the service was fabulous and the views from the terraces wonderful. We enjoyed watching elephant across the other side of the Kazinga Channel as we ate our lunch one day, and the afternoon boat trip in the channel between... more
