The best features of Kingfisher Lodge are the stunning views of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Panoramic view of grasslands and trees that stretch far into the distance. Some of the huts sit right on the edge of the cliff. Many huts (particularly H and I) have private balconies with a large seating area. Huts are large and spacious. Mosquito nets... More

Despite the stunning view we can not recommend this hotel. The resort was very expensive, had poor food choice and no internet. This is unacceptable for an hotel of this price category. This would be a great resort for a family (as it offers family huts). The room was nice, and clean, but the toilets didn't work properly.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our tour of Uganda. The Bandas are lovely, all with stunning views of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Not very big rooms but adequate for our stay, and very 'novel' Decent shower, with only soap as toiletries, and mosquito nets. Beds and pillows were comfy. You may need a torch at night as the... My husband and I stayed at Kingfisher for our first trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park and were very please with the experience. The views from practically anywhere in the lodge are breathtaking - overlooking QENP plains for as far as you can see. They can be especially enjoyed while relaxing in the pool. The room was ensuite and very... More

Beautiful views from this lodge just miles outside Queen Elizabeth National Park. We stayed two nights and loved the view from the main grounds and our private balcony. Dinner and breakfast were included. Breakfast somewhat limited in variety but wonderful dinner. The grotto style shower was wonderful and the room very unique. We had a small mix-up arranging for our... More

View is great and rooms (with a view) are confy but... - service is incredibly slow especially with groups (we waited 2 hours for the food to come at every dinner. - hotel management is dishonest : price and conditions were negociated on the phone, hotel did not want to confirm by e-mail, prices finallly paid were signicantly more expensive... Lovely area, really beautiful views, lots of bird life to photograph. Pool ( lower pool not full while we were there). Rooms comfy but slightly less room to walk around bed, mosi net, food ok but not gluten aware. Staff were quite new but worked hard.

i agree with all the other reviewers. This lodge is like something out of a fairy tale. The rooms are like nothing I have ever experienced before. I stayed here in November for two nights as part of a tour around Uganda. The food served in the restaurants was very good, nothing to write home about though. Friendly staff It... More

This place is beautiful. We spent three days camping at Kingfisher Lodge. The food was good, the staff helpful when we realised we'd forgotten our sleeping bags!, and the location is perfect for entry to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We've been to many lodges in Uganda, but Kingfisher is one of the best we've tried. It's designed well, with nice... More

The lodge is not too big, with just a few small bungalows but a big swimming pool and terrace with the most amazing view (definitely the best view I've gotten to see in my life so far) of the Queens Elisabeth's National Park, where we could observe wildlife (in our case- a familyoif elephants just walking by) while sipping cold...
