Had a two night stay here in early July and was very impressed, overall. The thatched cottage-style rooms are situated on the edge of an extinct volcanic crater and have piping hot showers, huge beds and power points for charging batteries. They are close to the restaurant and pool area but sufficiently far apart to provide ample privacy. The food... More

Had a wonderful stay at Kyambura Lodge. Great customer service - Albert and his staff took very good care of me and I highly recommend this place as your base, should you be heading towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. It's beatifully located on a rim facing the park, and you have an incredible view as far as the eye can... More

Kyambura was recommended to me and my girlfriend at the time (now fiance) by a friend after I had picked his brain about a quiet romantic place where I could propose with the confidence of a seasoned romantic. We arrived on a Friday to a hearty welcome from the manager Albert and were promptly ushered to our room. We connected... More

I promised myself I would leave a review after staying here. We felt that we needed to share our wonderful experience with this resort. Too many business don't receive the positive feedback they deserve due to happy customers being too busy to leave a review. First off, I noticed Kyambura Gorge Lodge which is ranked higher may have a handful... More

I had hoped to stay the Mweya Safari Lodge but for some reason we ended up here - and I'm very glad we did! The Kyambura Game Lodge is an excellent hotel, the cottages/bungalows were spacious and decorated with local materials, and isolated from other cottages by the gardens. As the hotel is perched above the plains there were sweeping... More

We stayed at the Kyambura lodge for two nights during a visit to the Queen Elizabeth Park in early January 2014. There were four of us and we had the lodge pretty much to ourselves. The lodge cottages and main areas were beautifully done and the rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. The views from the rooms and all... More

I work with a non-profit group called Into Your Hands/Africa in Colorado, USA. We went to this lodge to decompress, it was the most lovely experience. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in visiting there. The staff made me feel so very welcome, the food was excellent and the views are spectacular!

Place is stunning and bungalows grand. Swimming pool water was very clean during the whole stay. Albert the Manager had told me his Chef had been trained in Austria and looking at the comments book, previous guests had realy enjoyed the meals. Unfortunately the Chef must have been on leave during our stay. We spent 3 nights on site and... More

This is one out of many Lodges in Africa with so much potential it hurts. Situated on the escarpment overlooking Queen Elisabeth NP there are worse places in the world to sip to a sundowner. The bungalows are spacious practical and we apposed to other reviews in here we had hot water in the shower. We were visiting off season... More

Our route to the Northern part of QENP took us to Kyambura Game Lodge. The view towards Mount Rwenzori was spectacular, even though it teased us throughout our stay. Even just sat on the various areas of the main bomb and our room veranda we must have seen 20 plus species of birds. Waterbuck, kob and elephants roam the ground... More
