My second stay at the Coffee House and the service remains excellent. A extraordinary beautiful house. The incredible atmosphere of the rooms, patios, stairways... make the stay at this place something unique !

This quaint find in the heart of Stone Town is just perfect if you want something a little off the traditional hotel trail. The rooms were spacious and the A/C worked like a charm. I was a little giddy over my welcome drink - an iced cappuccino with ice cream. The breakfasts are included and served rooftop in the cupola-like... More

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Stone Town. The coffee house is quaint, quiet and centrally located. We stayed in the deluxe room on the top floor---well worth the price. The view takes in a good sampling of Stone Town---minarets, schools, shops and homes. The rooftop breakfast---with eggs made to order---was perfect. So relaxing... More

Set right in the heart of Stone Town the Zanzibar Coffee House not only had the best coffee in town, but also an authentic ambiance and friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast are served on the top floor looking out over Stone Town and a sundowner, accompanied by the call of the muezzin as the orange sun dipped below the palm trees... More

My boyfriend and I accidentally booked two rooms at the Zanzibar Coffee House for the same night, which we realized upon arrival. We had been traveling with very limited access to internet and we didn't realize that we used different booking.com accounts. Regardless, we were shocked when we arrived at the hotel and the manager refused to merge the two... More

Dear guest, It is most unfortunate that your stay at the Zanzibar Coffee House turned out negative but you may recall that the sequence of development was as listed below: 1. Guest 1 booked her Espresso room through booking.com on 3 November and Guest 2 booked his room on 27 November (over three weeks later) also through booking.com 2. Through... More

I stayed in this family owned boutique hotel for around 3 days in October 2013. First impressions: excellent. As we stepped through the door we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who had us checked-in in a jiffy and ushered to our rooms. I got the feeling the staff live everyday to the fullest. The Dalai Lama himself would... More

Our stay at Zanzibar Coffee House was very enjoyable because the ladies at the coffee counter were so much fun. Their enthusiasm was contagious. Breakfast was very good. The room we stayed at was clean, the bed was in the middle of the room which was strange. Private bathroom very small. It is in the middle of the old downtown... More

We had such a warm welcome from the ladies at Zanzibar coffee house. The building itself is full of charm, with tall ceilings, woodblock patterns on the walls. The highlight, however, is the rooftop seating area and the breakfast they serve every morning on the rooftop. The pancakes and spiced coffee are made even more delicious with the views over...
