A very friendly and welcoming place. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was amazing. Clean and well decorated rooms. Excellent coffee and food. What do you want more? Note: No direct accesss by taxi (narrow streets).

From the time we arrived, to the time we left, we were met with warm, friendly and excellent service from Salome and her team. Beautiful old Arabian style building turned into a place of comfort, with great food and even better coffee. Will stay there again, you should too.

A lovely little hotel in a traditional Zanzibar house. The rooms are beautifully decorated in Zanzibari style, yet they come with all the modern conveniences, including an in room safe for your valuables. There is turn down service and a welcome drink in the cute cafe. Service, though, is really their strong point, though. I was welcomed graciously by Philipina,... More

An old building with plenty of charm in the heart of the old city of Stonetown. The roof-top room where you can hang out is a dream - wonderful air and light, great breakfast and the wifi is really good up on the roof-top. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My only caution would be to check that you... More

Lovely place: charming and atmospheric, nicely furnished, fantastic coffee, great roof terrace with inspiring views; cool cafe on the ground floor seems to be a magnet for all sorts of locals and travellers.

A long weekend in Zanizbar at short notice. The Zanzibar Coffee House is perfectly situated inStonetown as you can get to the harbour or the markets within about 10min. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the food is amazing and the staff are incredible. Breakfast on the roof is the best way to start the day. The coffee is... More

Everything was perfect! It is very easy to get lost in the small streets around, but once you know the right way it is even fun to get around! Staff are really kind and helpful! I had an early flight, so they have prepared a full breakfast only for me two hours before the breakfast time!

First things first - the Zanzibar Coffee House lives up to its name with the best coffee I've tasted in Africa. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace is an amazing experience. The charmingly friendly Ramona served us pancakes, delicious muesli and yoghurt, mini croissant along with fruit and fried eggs if you wanted. Yum! The house itself is an intriguing rambling... This isn't a five star hotel, so if you're after pure luxury, this isn't for you. But if you want a brilliantly located quirky/quaint typical Zanzibari guest house with friendly staff and unique, traditional themed rooms, you can't beat it. Breakfast is included and was simple and tasty and served on the gorgeous rooftop terrace, with excellent coffee (as you'd... More

Located in the centre of the town, the Coffee House is a perfect base if you plan to explore the Stone Town. Cofee is great, although the Coffee House on the street level (by which the place got the name) closes at 6:30 PM. There are no other shared spaces in the hotel, such as a lobby or restaurant, so...
