We stayed here because of the location. The location could not be bettered but after three different rooms over three nights it was terrible. 1st night - no water, not even to flush the toilet. Three beds in the room but not one with an intact mosquito net. 2nd room, the tap came apart and we had to stay in... More

Despite the poor rating of this hotel, we decided to have a look. We arrived on the evening of a national holiday, so most hotels were already quite full. As I do speak a bit of Swahili (after two months in Tanzania), I received a warm welcome at the lobby. I explained that I am working for a local NGO,... More

Sheets were dirty, the shower didn't work and the room and bathroom werent clean enought. I ask in the reception to have a takeaway breakfast for the following day at 7:00am, they said there was no problem and the next day nobody could give me or prepare a breakfast. Moreover, they tried to increase the price for the spicy-tour.

A comfortable stay for one night on route to explore rest of Zanzibar. Had very helpful service from reception to assist with spice tour and taxi arrangements. Dont expect much more than a night's good sleep. Breakfast just OK, could not expect more for the price. Within comfortable walking distance from the ocean and gardens.

As soon I walked in, there was a huge difference compered to last time I went. Obviously it was a positive difference. I liked how the service's were excellent and the staff were friendly thank you Jimmy and Juma. Food was served chronologically and the African food was delicious. The room I slept in was comfortable and relaxing the window... More

I've stayed there with my boyfriend for only one night. We appreciated only 2 things: it's in the city centre and the price was very low (more or less 13€ per night per person at the end of April). But that's it... the room was small, the bed covers were dirty (in fact we slept on our towels), the bathroom... More

We stayed here in March of 2013. The hotel arranged for us to be picked up (no charge) and went out of their way to help us in any way they could. They even kept our luggage for a week while we traveled to other places on Zanzibar. The hotel's accommodation is basic, the breakfasts average but the service level... More
