What can I say than that the staff is tremendous. I accidentally brought my key with me to Dar, but the manager happened to be there so he took the car to my accomodation and picked it up, no punishment handed out:) So friendly and open, they really took care of you. And the breakfast was tremendous. The rooms was... More

When we arrived the first time we were welcome as friendly as we would be old friends, may be because they realized that already our daughter were here 3 month ago. All the time e very lovely and kind staff around you, that’s just fantastic. Of course there may be more luxury accommodations in Stone Town. But you ever will... More

We planned to stay in Zanzibar for two nights. We found ourselves spending four nights. The staffs of the hotel are wonderful and they assisted us in everything we wanted. To my view I saw this inn Perfect. The building itself is a decoration, the old architecture and some decorations inside. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. We felt safe... More

Although the staff is nice, don´t think you can talk to the management! They are unfriendly, unflexible and greedy. We are very disappointed and will never go there again. Other hotels try to take care for customer needs- this hotel wants to make fast money. As long as you are quiet and pay - everything is fine, but you better... More

We enjoyed staying at Princess Salme. Although at first it seemed a bit poorly located (next to a fish market), we weren't bothered by the neighbourhood. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room quite enjoyable and romantic, and the roof-top with the breeze from the ocean was great. Actually, after visiting more central touristic part of the town, we... More

princess salme was a fabulous place for a budget traveller, more than we expected and CLEAN :) - thank you to the staff, who were super accomodating, lots of friendly advice and free internet, tea, coffee, generator, fan, mosquito nets, and cold beer.

We stayed at Princess Salme for three nights in Dec 2009. There was no power because of a cut from the mainland, so this has to be taken into account. However the manager refused to turn on the generator for any longer than about 20 minutes at a time and he turned it off for the night at 11pm. Every... More

We value your reviews and take them seriously. Thank you for both good reviews and bad reviews. A decision to change the management has been made in order to get a manager who can listen to customers and make sure there is customer satisfaction in terms of services. Most of the problems reported are managerial and decision making. (e.g early... More

We spent 3 nights in Princess Salme. It's in a great location for arriving on the ferry, although the road's not well lit and I wouldn't recommend walking alone there at night. We were in a mixed group of 4 and didn't encounter any trouble. Our stay coincided with the power cuts on Zanzibar. If we'd have known from the... More

We stayed hee as the final part of a two trip in Zanzibar. Bad location-lots of rubbish and smell from the harbour, no running water, not particularly secure and the staff weren't honest about the water situation. We are not fussy travellers but we did find this place to be one of the worst that we have encountered over the... More

we stayed two nights at the hotel. In Zanzibar there is no ellectricity right now, but at least they have a generator (though is used during night only) Very friendly staff and lovely decorated house! I think the services worth the money we paid compared to other hotels we stayed in Mainland.
