We spent four nights at Fumba Beach Lodge in June of 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The lodge was lightly booked during our stay and the management were kind enough to give us a free upgrade to a suite after our first night. This gave us a large bathroom with an outdoor shower and an upstairs balcony sitting area that... more

We stayed at Fumba for 4 days after a week's safari in Kenya. We were part of a group and the staff went all out to ensure that our needs were met. Meals were delicious (especially breakfast) but dinner was my favourite, with a different dining experience provided on a nightly basis. Great lodges right smack on the beach with... more

Apr/09 I travelled from Stonetown to Fumba. It is a beautiful resort at the southernmost tip of zanzibar. Reception check-in was just ok--not overly friendly. There are individual chalets with thatched roofs. The doors leading in are very heavy wood with slats covered with screening that don;t open very much. The inside was VERY dark, you need lights on at... more

My wife and I stayed here for three nights after climbing Kilimanjaro. The drive to Fumba from the Airport is a long bumpy one, but as soon as we arrived we started to feel at ease. The room was a highlight - right by the beach, huge double doors that opened out towards the beach, lovely furniture, huge bed with... more

We had our wedding here, and all i can say is WOW. The staff we amazing, the location spectacular, the rooms were lovely, perfectly located alongside the beaches yet wonderfully private. The sunsets were picture perfect and the food, out of this world... Management went out of their way to accomodate us and all our guests. Over-all an amazing place... more

We stayed at Fumba Beach after a fantastic Safari in Kenya. This is an amazing location near the conservation area in Zanzibar, this meant the location was further out than many hotels and the roads there were bumpy and unmade, but do not let this put you off as it is well worth it when you get there. We stayed... more

I arrived in Fumba in MidOctober for my second visit to this fabulous resort. After I recovered from the flight, I checked out the diving. On our way to the dive site, we were accompanied by a pod of dolphins which included some juveniles. The diving is always amazing. There are several sites that are a 20-30 minute Dhow boat... more
