We stayed at Fumba Beach lodge with 2 families for a couple of days (also new year eve). It is a real relaxing resort with swimming pool and good service, nice beach, pittoresque place to sit and read (in the baobob tree), really nice breakfast and dinner. At new years eve they surprised us with a special table on the... More

This is the most beautiful lodge I have ever seen! It is situated in a huge park full with exotic trees and animals. A monkey family paid us a visit and the youngsters came very close to us. The bungalows are huge and very nicely but simply decorated. The food could be better... This place is really worth the money... More

This place had a great atmosphere! The staff was really polite and always with a smile on the face. At dinner they played live music and the staff was dancing beside them. Great five course Swahili dinner and great breakfast. Nice rooms just by the beach or in the garden. Very smelly towels and sheets though. During night some of... More

Cannot rate Staff highly enough in this delightfully set lodge. Management leave much to be desired . And the rooms lacked some necessary equipment . The snorkelling trip and the crew were brilliant at looking after us. Good memories .

The Fumba Beach Lodge is situated along the Menai Bay in a marine park, south of Stone Town, Zanzibar. The bungalows are disseminated in a nice garden; some have a beautiful view on the ocean. The sunsets are amazing from here ! Many small places (patios in a big baobab-tree or wood platforms overlooking the sea) are very attractive to... More

Hard to fault this slice of heaven in southern Zanzibar. Rustic/chic high end safari type lodge accommodation, well away from the more touristy north of the island. Stayed last 3 days of an 11 day trip of Zanzibar... should have been longer. Fabulous in all ways, amazing lodge design and rooms, gorgeous infinity pool, location...lovely hosts, staff, food, and the peace... More

We left OR Thambo airport 11 October on the early flight to Zanzibar, by lunch time we'd landed. What a beautiful place, so peaceful and so much to do. The staff were all amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. They welcomed us like family & treated us so well. The rooms are comfortable, clean & loved the decor.... More

The place is lovely, amazing tropical garden with butterflies and monkeys, etc. The resort is by the Ocean and the view is amazing! it is not possible to swim on the beach though unless you have special shoes on beacuse of the sea urchins and the stones.... Even tried kite surfing when the southerly trade blew in and the tide was in. Those seeking an authentic Zanzibar experience with a relaxed a friendly atmosphere with a touch... More

We loved this place. We stayed for the second week of our honeymoon having toured Kenya on safari for the first week. Suffice to say we wanted pure relaxation..... A couple of blips - firstly our transfer had not been booked despite email confirmation. This was annoying as we landed on Zanziber at 9pm and after waiting for about an... More
