We were unsure about staying at Fumba because of previous reviews that we read on Trip Advisor. However, we were pleasantly surprized and would higly recommend staying here. The rooms very lovely and the food and service were good. Four years ago I went snorkelling in this area with a company based in Stone Town and was very disappointed with... More

JAMBO!!! We have been at Fumba Beach Lodge this August 2014, and the experience has been great. The atmosphere, the people, the lodges, and above all, the food. We have enjoyed like nothing their food!!! Beach is quite surprising for us, as the sea "comes and goes", but apart from this, all has been 100% satisfactory. It is really a... More

Had a real good time there. Very quiet and peaceful. Food is great, staffs always smiling and wiling to help. Diving there with Mag and her team was amazing, a nice experience diving on a Dhow. Its the perfect place to relax.

Calling it a beach lodge is misleading, since it has a very small beach, and not a nice one. Yes, it is by the sea, and if you got a sea front room, you can hear the sea all night, but it has no beach, you are essentially confined to the small pool area, always very crowded (secure your pool... Omg, what a peaceful place for honeymooners. I just love this place. The owners Kirsten and Tracy are down-to-earth and serviceminded couple, and so was the rest of staff. I was sad to leave this place. At first, i was a bit worried because this wasnt a 5-star place. The food is absolutely amazing, and I will recommend this place... More

I enjoy adventure trips with a few days of relaxation and reflection in a beautiful place at the end. I hit it right on the nose with Fumba Beach. A beautiful peaceful small resort, friendly and personal. The location, huts and main area are very picturesque. We were there in the low season so it was quiet and private but... More

We booked about 5 nights at Fumba Beach Lodge in late May. It was low season so there were very few other guest. Our room was wonderfully positioned right on the beach so you were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves. The rooms were generously sized and well mosquito-proofed with a bed net. Alas, the weather was... More

This was a welcome break after being hassled by hawkers and the seedy heat in Stone Town. It was our honeymoon and they made it extra special for us by giving us a special dinner of locally caught lobster, and we had our final breakfast on the viewing platform at the top of their mammoth baobab. Our waiter even made... More

Staying at Fumba Beach Lodge was the perfect way to end my trip to Zanzibar. I was traveling with two friends and we had booked a triple occupancy room, but upon arrival, we learned that we had been upgraded to three separate rooms with beach views! As the hotel had availability, it decided to upgrade us. The rooms were quite... More

This lodge is out of the way - not even a local shop in walking distance. We had just climbed Kilimanjaro so happy for the isolation and quiet pace of the area. The lodges were large and allowed lots of privacy and and the ones on the front row look right out onto the sea. Food, and atmosphere in the... More
