we ended a 3 week trip to Tanzania at the Zanzibar Palace hotel and although we only had one night there it was excellent. the meet and greet, the staff and our room was stunning. we would of loved to have stayed longer and if we are lucky enough to go back to Zanzibar we would definitely stay here again

Had a wonderful one night stay in this quaint and beautifully decorated hotel. Both the room and the public spaces are tastefully adorned with cultural treasures. The hotel is peaceful butt centrally located in the heart of Stonetown and the staff personable and friendly. Jelle, the manager, was extremely helpful, shared visitor's information and lined up an insightful tour of... More

Stayed for two nights as part of a diving trip to Mafia & Pemba Islands. Lovely small hotel with an intimate, friendly ambience, set in a small street in the heart of Stonetown. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast of fresh juices and fruit, but you have cooked if you want. Didn't eat dinner, so cannot comment. Lovely... More

We loved the decoration both in room (which was spacious & had a balcony) & public areas. All mod cons available without detracting from traditional ambience. Having shower/bath in full view of partner not a problem for us & toilet was seperate if doorless. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Great location in the old town, though this did... A wonderful little gem with very distinct furnishings and décor and great service. Jelle, the Manager, went out of his way to arrange tours and in providing great tips on what to do on the Island. Zanzibar is, of course, absolutely magical! My only regret was that I was there solo as my family couldn't join me on this trip.

A small, intimate hotel with a wonderful ambience which reflects the old world charm of Stone Town. We spent two very comfortable nights in this accommodation and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The location was excellent and the service was impeccable. All the staff were polite and accommodated our needs with a smile. The manager provided sound advise across the board,... More

Small hotel on the little streets of Stone town. Very nice welcome, perfect service. We had the room on the top and except that we had to climb the stairs everyone to go to the room, it was great to have a charming hotel with full atmosphere. We ate once at the restaurant and it was really nice but we... More

I loved this hotel. You really felt that you were in Zanzibar. You woke to the sounds of the port, roosters and calls for prayer. It is a wonderful blend of old and new. Antique furniture, doubled shuttered windows with air conditioning and flat screen TV. The manager is very helpful and gave us good advice about what to do.... More

We spent one day in Stone Town at the Zanzibar Palace. It is a unique hotel in an older building in the heart of Stone Town. Our room was a suite with a lounge area as you enter, a bedroom, and a very large bathroom with a huge tub. The furniture was antique and there was interesting local art on... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon. We loved the hotel and our themed room. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the Stone Town experience...one of our highlights in Tanzania.
