Slept in de dorm for only 14,- dollar a night, very cheap. Good beds, friendly staff en nice garden to sit in. Breakfast is also OK. The only strange thing was that a staff member asked me a couple of times for cigarettes, thats unprofessional imo. But very nice and cheap and central way, Like!

I stayed both in the dorm and the triple room. The rooms are equiped with mosquito nets and fans and the bed are comfortable. This hostel is a bit tricky to find, so don't be surprised if you need to ask for directions. Most of the people around Stone Town know about this place so there shouldn't be any problem... More

This is budget accom—a place to lay your head and freshen up. And it’s perfect for that. Its location, hard to find in the snaking streets of Stone Town, but near “Jaws Corner” (just keep asking around, you’ll get there), is walking-central to everything (including the markets and local nightclubs) and safe. It’s cheap and cheerful: really nice courtyard and... More

Friendly staff is the key to success in hospitality. I lost things twice in this lodge ans they found it for me. Breakfast is basic but it's free I guess a cup of tea and a pancake is not a bad way to start your day. The lodge offers free wireless, luggage store and safety deposit box for your valuables.... You get what you pay for. But who wants to stay in their room in stone town so rate totally worth it. Friendly staff, shower bed and a full breakfast in the morning. What more can you ask for. Centrally located but difficult to find if you don't get help.

Hostel itself is nice. Decent, comfy beds. Spacious and clean. Good spot and reasonable priced, one of the cheapest in stone town. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast included was good. Unfortunately while we were there we witnessed the owner behaving in an unprofessional and bullying manner toward a staff member. He was verbally abusing him, loudly, in front... More

One of the cheapest places in stone town, but not really good value for money! Friendly staff and the breakfast are probably the only positives. Rooms have tiny double beds, mosquito nets with holes and a funny lingering smell. The communal bathrooms didn't seem to be cleaned at all during our two night stay and there was either only hot... BEST: Cheapest in Stone Town, full of fun travelers, felt secure, bathroom was adequate. WORST: They tried to rip me off quite ruthlessly at the beginning, which just creates an unpleasant atmosphere (quoted $50/night before I got them down to $20/night). I visited in high season, but come on! I had a private single with shared bathroom, but the room... More

A bit of a disappointment. The rooms were $50USD for an ensuite bathroom. We were able to negotiate the price down. However, the bathroom was not very clean and for the first two days we didn't have water in our bathroom. Once we got water, the hot water never got hot. The rooms themselves weren't very clean. The sheets had... More

I stayed there for 2 nights. Staff was very friendly and all worked fine including the wifi. I had a 1 person room right next to the reception and garden. Location wise it was nice, but it was also noisy and I had to sleep with earplugs which I ordinarily never do. The room was dirty. As in nasty some... More
