We sent 3 night in this hotel, as our tour ogranizer choose this hotel. I would have never chosen it myself. Our 3-bedroom was small, bathroom was dirty, the walls have not been painted for 20 years at least, and the tiles have not been cleaned in 30! Very small rooms, outdated furniture, no elevator, poor breakfast. Please avoid! Zanzibar... More

Its a decent place to sleep that is walking distance from everything. The neighborhood looks very iffy at nights but we walked around without any troubles at all times of the day. You are close to the harbor so you do get a bit of a fish smell. Nothing in Stone Town besides the Hyatt looks upscale. If you need... More

Rooms are spacious, comfy and clean, though without much of the Zanzibarian charm. The one I chose was equipped with TV, AC and bathroom/shower for a cheap price (20 USD - among the cheapest in Zanzibar). The street is not particularly noisy. I was there during the rainy saison (low season in terms of tourism) and I could not smell... More

We stayed only one night while in town. It's a comfortable place to sleep with AC (huge plus) and wifi. The rooms are for the most part clean and have some basic amenities. The breakfast is very good, with a really stunning view over the water and the city. The hotel staff is super friendly and will help you secure... More

We stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel is located near the harbour, so it is not exactly some exclusive district, but it is 5-10 minuts walk to the city centre. We also walked there in the evening and it was completely safe. The owner is very friendly and helpful with all the information and additional service. The room was... More

Booked this online, but now wish I hadn't. It's not in Stone Town, as advertised, but right in the middle of very run down areas next to the fishmarket and docks. When I went out to explore, the locals made it quite clear that tourists were not welcome in their part of town. On the one occasion when I tried... More

Hotel quite nice, clean and good location regarding the ferry. The breakfast was good and the rooftop was also very nice. It is moreover not that expensive for Zanzibar. We could also bargain a bit as it was low season and we had a small budget!! We recommend it.

First we only booked for two nights but we ended up returning for more two in the last days of our stay in Zanzibar. We were satisfied with what we got for the price we payed. We stayed 4 people in a 3 bed room and it was totally fine. The room was clean, and we had "warmish" shower. It... More

We stayed there in November 2013 in our short visit in Unguja. It was the best place in terms of money out of all the places of 20-30USD that most of the budget travellers stay. We paid 50 USD for a night including breakfast. The breakfast was terrible but thats another story. Its located very near to the port next... More

Very friendly hotel as are the owners. The ammenities are basic, but the hotel is very clean. Upon arrival we negociated the rates with the owner who gave us a big discount. He was very helpful, giving advice. The breakfast in the morning was marvelous, a little bit fattening though. The staff treated us as familly. I would highly recommend this... More
