We stayed here for two nights in September 2014 to experience stone town as part of our Africa travels. On arrival at the hotel (after a nervous walk from the taxi and someone attempting to take our bags from us) we were offered an "upgrade" at an additional cost of $20 per night which my other half took. The benefit... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and had very high hopes given the pictures and the reviews. But Jafferji failed in almost every way to live up to our expectations. To start with the positives (of which there aren't many), the building is very interesting and the location is ideal. It's right in the heart of the interesting part of... More

Lovely hotel to stay in for a few nights to discover Stone Town. Each room is unique and we really enjoyed the sumptuousness of the place. The food at the restaurant was also excellent. Staff could be better trained in English.

Excellent value for money in a beautiful little hotel. Beautifully restored and maintained old house with central courtyard. Full of the most exquisite furniture, art and fixtures.. Walking distance from beachside Forodhani gardens. Excellent dinner in the attached restaurant. Breakfast simple but fresh . Different than any place I have stayed before

This was my third stay at Jafferji House this year and I must say that it's getting better and better. Walking through the narrow Gizenga Street into the main entrance and being greeted by my first name makes each stay feel like coming back to a good friends' place. My favorite Princess Salme Suite was prepared for me and I... More

Amazing Arabic style boutique hotel with different rooms for your choice. Located in the heart of Stonetown, so old city is just around the place and you can walk all the little roads to museum, old market or slave market within few hours. 2 min walk to the Promenade where you can find modern restaurants and terraces if you want.... The rooms and decor throughout the place is phenomenal. It felt like we were living in a Zanzibari palace. We had the Spice Suite which was very cool and had a little extra bed perfect for our daughter. The restaurant was very good, nicely prepared, reasonably prices, and full of local flavor; our few meals there were the best we... More

My first visit to jafferji house. A quaint cosy hotel located in the narrow streets of the stone town. I stayed in the jafferji suit which was simply delightful, great big room, private sitting room, in-door and out door showers. The staff were friendly and welcoming and though I arrived late they happily prepared a light meal for me. Definitely... More

We stayed here on the last night of our stay in Zanzibar. Stone town can be a bit hectic and this place was like a haven. The hotel itself was beautiful - our room was very luxurious, had beautiful details, we especially loved the mugs provided for tea/coffee. The bed was amazing and the shower was great, the toiletries provided... More

Jafferji House & Spa was the last stop on our honeymoon. We were greeted at the reception with watermelon and citrus juice. Although it took a while to get all the check in paper work done, we didn't mind as the room was cool and the juice refreshing. We stayed in the Sultan room which was spectacular. The hotel doesn't... More
