Wanted to stay indoors, while I knew we should go around and see the island...As for me - room should be clean and o.k, a place where u just sleep (I came to see something, not to be in the room), but i never... Simply the best boutique hotel in the heart of stonetown. I visited last year and loved my stay in Zanzibar. The exceptional experience of living in a stone architectural building enriched with elements of culture, is HIGHLY recommended. Also a must visit to the Rooftop Restuarant to experience fine cuisine and a panoramic view of stone town's great architecture and... More

Great stay. Loved the decor, the staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. Breakfast was good. It boggles my mind when people complain about slow service. Culturally things are more relaxed and at a slower pace. POLE POLE is heard around the island for a reason. You're on vacation why the rush anyways. Food is slow most places you go... More

I spent several days here both before and after my marriage - staying in the Jafferji room. It was a great place in terms of food, friendly/accommodating staff, location, and history. Comfortable beds, and tasteful decorations. Certainly worth your time.

We stayed at Jafferji House for a night. Stone town is a lovely place to visit, and jafferji house and spa is a charming hotel located in the heart stone town. The rooms are spatious with lots of warm colours and traditional zanzibari decor. I will be staying here everytime I visit stone town!

this review is for the rooftop restaurant - if you're in Stonetown you HAVE to eat here, the food is wonderful truly and the staff are amazingly helpful and sweet; we were the only diners at the time and the poor server kept going up and down the 4 flight of stairs just to serve us and make sure we... My Husband and I had stayed at the Jafferji from the 11th to the 16th of November. The room we stayed in was called the Jafferji Suite and it was just wonderful. There are no words to describe how at ease we felt to stay at this boutique Hotel which previously used to be an Arab House. The architecture and... More

My husband and I went to Jafferji for our honeymoon. We were meant to stay there 5 nights but our trip got delayed last minute. Lucky we had only paid for the deposit and managed to change our booking to 3 nights, for a fee of course. It was totally worth every penny. The images are not an exaggeration and... More

Lovely old furniture and artifacts in this quirky place. Each room has a theme, we were in the Princess Salmi suite. I feel this hotel appeals to the younger set as our room had a low doorway and a step on the way to the bathroom, so be careful if you are older or wobbly on your feet! The TV... More
