Hiliki House in Zanzibar is perhaps the most authentic B&B experience you will find in Stone Town. From the moment you step into the reception you experience a state of peace. The manager Aboud at Hiliki House is a very service minded, smiling and welcoming host with perfect English proficiency. All the rooms at Hiliki House are unique designed in... More

We stayed at Hiliki House for two nights to end our time on Zanzibar. Hiliki house was great little value for money place to stay. Everything went very smoothly. We were greeted by the reservations manager who was very warm, welcoming and spent some time helping us with the map of stone town and where to go. Hiliki house is... More

I spent one night in Hiliki House following the good recoomendations on trip advisor and I loved this place. It is in a quiet area at the edge of Stone Town just opposite Victoria Gardens. So from the nice and spacious living room, where they also serve the breakfast, you look into the green. The rooms and the entire house... More

A real gem! Rooms are spacious and well air conditioned. Bathrooms were excellent. Breakfast was a delight in a lovely common room. Even laundry service was great, with clove sachet. Internet access was always available. I would definitely stay again.

We have been traveling in Africa for four months now, and Hiliki House is one of my favorite places that we have stayed. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the large windows and high ceilings make the rooms feel airy. Our room was not en suite, but it had a private bathroom with a great shower directly across the... More

In Hiliki House one has the sensation of being a guest in someone's lovingly-restored ancestral home, which is exactly what it is. The location is perfect, just on the outskirts of Stone Town, in a quiet little street, within easy walking distance of Forodhani Gardens and many restaurants, etc. The staff was very helpful, accomodating and discreet, and the breakfasts... off the beaten path a little but easy to walk to all the major attractions. Only a few rooms so doesn't feel crowded. Great service, friendly staff, and nice breakfast. They also helped us book a tour guide - for US$20, someone walked us all around town for 3 hours. Totally worth it, since we never would have found all... More

My one week stay was a delight from start to finish....I always like to get to know the staff when spending an extended time at any small establishment....Aboud and the three ladies Zainab, Salma and. Shemsu could not have been more helpful and personable. Aboud was a wealth of knowledge on where to go for this, the best way to... More
