Great location in Stone Town, and very quaint atmospheric - not on the water, but a nice water view from the rooftop restaurant - a bit of a hike to get up there on the 4th floor. Not a 5 star hotel, but I'd give it 4.

We stayed for 3 nights in October 2014. What a great find! It was a good location, very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Large airy rooms, good wifi, hot water. The food was decent too, and a nice rooftop dining area. Location is close to shops and restaurants Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. Rooms... More

The hotel is very close to the main attractions of stone town and housed in a beautiful building. Our room was more like a small studio apartment with a sitting area, spacious bedroom and huge bathroom. The room was clean, as was the bathroom however the shower screen leaked all over the floor and the bath was a little worn... More

This is a very nice small hotel, in what used to be the house of a rich Omani merchant (or so our guide told us. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and the service excellent, and all but invisible. The public areas contain some attractive pieces of furniture. The stairs are steep, and this is not somewhere for someone... More

This was one of the last places we stayed on our african holiday, and it was fantastic! So tranquil amongst the busy roads of stone town. It was so hot and humid outside but the air conditioning in the room was heavenly! Pretty good service, and amazing cocktails served on the roof top restaurant!

What a wonderful place! Me and my husband enjoyed our two night stay in Kisiwa. We have paid a little extra for Malkia junior suite which was really nice and spacious with very large, comfy bed and free standing bath. Also there is a quite good choice of TV channels and decent free WiFi connection in all rooms. First evening just after... More

Located in the alleys of Stone Town so having a lot of luggage may not be a very good idea as it has to be carried a few metres....Entrance was very nice and clean...Friendly Staff ..yes to get a computer for font desk so quite a novelty to see a front desk without one and all done manually ... But... More

Kisiwa House has a very good location in the heart of Stone Town, and you can really experience the atmosphere of this exotic town. It is a nice place, but with room rates at the high end of the scale it is not by no means any bargain. The TV set was not working and the WiFi not available in... More

This place was awesome. The location was perfect as it was just outside of all the hustle and bustle but literally 5-10 minute walk into the small alleyways of Stone Town. The beach in stone town is nothing to ride home about so don't be too concerned that it isn't on the beach, go north for beaches. The rooms were... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in mid-August. The hotel is very convenient for all the main attractions in Stone Town (5 mins walk from the Fort). Our room was wonderful, with a large (and tall) bed, a sitting area and a large bathroom. Breajfast is served on the top floor terrace and is very very good with... More
