I recommend Kisiwa House extremely highly, I loved my stay there for two nights. The hotel is small, friendly and beautifully furnished. Travelling in the low season meant I got a fantastic rate through agoda.com, but still was extremely lucky with great weather and a quieter environment to get to know the town. The staff are extremely friendly and professional.... More

Stayed for 2 nights during our one week stay in Zanzibar. What a great choice (recommended by out travel agent). The room was spacious; large bathroom, lounge area and separate bedroom area. The room was clean with a mini-bar, double air-conditioning (lounge and bedroom) which a God-send after coming from a long day of galavanting about stone town. The hotel... More

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a two month East African adventure and it was perfect. We loved it. Our room was really spacious, comfortable bed and it was a pleasure returning to it after wandering around Stone Town. They even leave biscuits when they turn the bed down in the evening. A really nice little... More

We stayed in Kisiwa House Hotel between holidays on Mafia and the east coast of Zanzibar. It provided a highly civilised break from the two beach hotels, with good air conditioning, comfortable beds, and elegant furniture. It provides easy access to the main sites of Stone Town and excellent local restaurants and the staff proved extremely helpful. The restaurant on... More

My wife and I stayed at Kisiwa house for two nights at the end of our honeymoon. We loved it, our room was huge and looked out onto stone town. The bathroom was really nice and the bed was the most comfortable we slept on in our two weeks in Tanzania. The hotel staff were nice and helpful and the... More

We spent 4 nights at the Kisiwa House after a five camp 14 day trip in Kenya and Tanzania. This was the perfect place to wind down after two weeks in the bush. We generally prefer boutique hotels. This was the perfect size. The decor and furnishings in the common areas and the rooms are first quality. Zanzibar is pretty... More

I had a choice of a few hotels around Stone Town and after much contemplation I elected to stay at Kisiwa house, and I am really glad I did. Since then I have been back another time, and on both occasions, I felt very well looked after. This charming boutique hotel, conveniently located in the heart of stone town, would... More
