Charming hotel in the old Stonetown. It is almost hidden in the narrow streets, but once you step inside the hotel you find big spacious rooms and a wonderful rooftop restaurant with a nice view of the ocean and the city. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I was served excellent food and the staff was very friendly... More

On arrival by taxi, you need to walk through a dark and rather dodgy passage to get to the hotel entrance. The up side of this is that you are literally in Stone town so you don't need to go too far if you want to find the quaint Zanzibar shops - It's still a fair walk to the more... More

If you're in Stone Town, I would definitely recommend getting a meal and/or some drinks here. The rooftop restaurant also has a terrace with great views of the harbor from both areas. We had the carrot salad and King Fish with potatoes and vegetables, all the food had great flavor and was displayed well. The service was friendly and quick.... More

Everyone pretty much raves about this hotel but my experience is mixed. Beautiful hotel and conveniently located. Positives: The rooms are prettily decorated without being cheesy and the restaurant staff is great. The terrace pavilion has a wonderful view and is a quiet place to chill. The very generous breakfast alone is worth staying for (excellent variety although they repeatedly... More

Great location - a quick walk to restaurants, the beach and attractions. The hotel set us up with a wonderful driver we used for the duration of our stay in Zanzibar. The room was huge, very clean and comfortable. The terrace had incredible views, with wonderful food and drinks. The staff was friendly.

I have stayed in Seyyida for 3 nights in December and it was a great experience. The hotel is located nearby the beach and the port. Close to bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even helped to organise a driver to take us to the lovely beach they recommended. Rooms very big and clean. Air conditioned and... More

A great hotel... and a very welcome bit of luxury after a two-week overland safari! Rooms were spacious, immaculate and very comfortable. The staff were eager to assist and very pleasant. Roof terrace and the roof-top bar / restaurant had beautiful views, reasonably priced and delicious food! Great location, just a three minute work to the night-market and a five... More

super hotel with great staff. I stayed at seyyida for 10 days. the hotel is stylish in a traditional way, with antique furniture and whitewashed walls. Had a lovely, spacious room. The roof terrace with sea view is sublime. The brekafast is very good; fresh fruit and home made breads. The best, culinary dinner I had in Zanzibar because the kitchen... More
