This was our second visit to Seyyida and we had a lovely time again. The staff is extremely helpful -- beyond providing excellent service at the hotel itself, they also assisted us to book a massage/pedicure, a taxi to the north side of the island and a flight back to the mainland. The rooms were comfortable and large with strong... More

Seyyida s traditional charm and central location make it a go to hotel. A lot of effort is made by the staff to make one s stay a happy one. The food was good and an added bonus was it was on the rooftop. Will soon be returning.

Seyyida is centrally located, near Forodhani (a popular hang out during evening hours), House of Wonders and the harbour. It is the perfect starting point if you want to explore Stone Town on foot. The rooms have a charming interior and are spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It offers a roof top restaurant with a spectacular view over... More

This hotel is small, charming, has very nice decor and mostly excellent service. The rooftop restaurant is excellent for breakfast and has a fantastic view of the sea and port. The lunch and dinner menu did not cater at all towards vegetarians however it should be mentioned that after we mentioned that we were not satisfied with the menu they... More

The Seyyida Hotel & Spa is charming, just make sure to get a sea balcony room! The other rooms look out upon a wall. Its located walking distance to the Dar es salaam ferry , and an intriguing collection of old, ancient fortress-style buildings surround this little gem of a hide away. When you step outside of the hotel, you... More

The hotel is really beautiful and the designer is fantastic and should be proud of themselves. The rooms are great, laid out nicely, a good size and very comfortable. Though the toilet didn't work so well, there were stains on the bed and chair and the air con was only slightly working. The entrance is down a bad alleyway making... More
